She should have gradually cut back on her use. I knew of one who drank only soda and got sick. The doctor told him to not drink only soda. So he switched to drinking only milk for months and broke out in rashes all over his body. The doctor finally had to tell him to drink mainly water and that solved his problems. It is amazing what water can do for the body.

Coca Cola Death? Should i sell my KO stock?
by skeeter1 incoroner says coca-cola addiction responsible for womans death neetzan zimmerman .
when 30-year-old natasha harris of invercargill, new zealand, died of a heart attack three years ago, her family suspected the cause of death was linked to her extreme fondness for coca-cola.. drinking as much as 10 litres (2.5 gallons) a day left the mother of eight with myriad health problems, including cardiac arrhythmia, rotten teeth, and a full-blown addiction.. "(she would) go crazy if she ran out... she would get the shakes, withdrawal symptoms, be angry, on edge and snappy," harris's mother-in-law said last year.. harris's husband, christopher hodgkinson, recalled how his wife's health quickly deteriorated in the months prior to her death.
"she had no energy and was feeling sick all the time ... she would get up and vomit in the morning," he said.. coca-cola has persistently maintained that, despite her daily consumption of twice the recommended caffeine intake and over 11 times the acceptable amount of sugar, harris's death could not be definitively linked to her coke habit.. but a coroner report released today claims to have done just that.. wrote coroner david crerar: "i find that, when all of the available evidence is considered, were it not for the consumption of very large quantities of coke by natasha harris, it is unlikely that she would have died when she died and how she died.".

Expect Greater Loonieness From the Governing Body As They Are Forced to Face Their Delusion By Reality
by frankiespeakin ini'm thinking they will be force to do a reality check as the clock ticks and things keep going down hill for the corporation they are ceos of.. that means they may come clean or change their delusion as the hard cold facts come knocking at thier door.
or they may hang on tenaciously to the delusion and exibit more and more bizarre reasonings.. i'm thinking this delusion to too hard to get out of and so exspect more bizarre behavior.

I figure that the recent crazy explanation about the meaning of the term "generation" has potentially bought them another 50 years. If not, most of the flock appear to follow the GB blindly away. They can make up anything and the flock will buy into it.

Lost best friend...
by lostinnj83 inso i am not even out yet and i feel as though i have already lost my best friend.. i asked her if i could use her as a reference on an apartment rental if i decide to go the route of separation from my husband.
she knows all of what i went through in my marriage and how much pain and suffering that i have endured.. at first she said yes, no problem, then she asked if i would be speaking to the elders about it, and i said no, she asked why not, i said that is my choice to do or not do.. her response was that i pray and speak to the elders and that she thinks it best that i don't use her as a reference because she would feel that she was supporting my decision to separate.
i said fine but i also said that her response seems to be more of a concern about me speaking to the elders rather than being concerned for my well being.

Sad to hear how your best friend has treated your situtation. Look after your best interests and not let others push you into something that will keep you unhappy.

Why can't the GB retire when they can't function anymore? No they are in fear of their successors. Also they do not like Disneyland, for the GB love to be at Bethel.
At least the pope knows when to retire.

Making the congregations pay for invitation printing
by Rattigan350 inthe memorial and district convention invitations have a space for each congregtion to put their local information on them.. the congregations then have to foot the bill, many times it is the service overseer personally, for the printing on them.. some print labels and the congregation puts them on, others print with their laser printer and wear them out.. at first the paper was so poor that the particles would destroy laster printers and make a dust storm.
commercial printers hated that paper.. the society should have a variable data printing system since they know the times of the memorial and convention for each congregation and they should print that while they print the initial invitation.. think if it, 12,000 congregations in the usa multipled by $50 on average cost to print or label each congregation's amounts to $600,000.
do that twice a year for 7 years and that is $8.4 million dollars.

I know of one who ran them through an inkjet printer. A quarter of the invitations were messed up. What a waste. Then they had to emergency order for more from the branch.

Jehovah's Witnesses and restaurant bills
by usualusername indid you ever have the experience of going to a restaurant with witnesses and spending 30mins sorting out the restaurant bill?.
.
thats something i miss since leaving... .

Because JWs usually are cheap-skates, I guess that is why the BORG yearly reminds them to tip restaurants during district conventions. I was talking to a restaurant owner who told me that members of religous groups, not just jws, usually are cheap-skates.

Amazing how times change. It was just a few years ago that the local BOE had several local needs parts on the dangers of facebook and twitter. They threatened to remove any privileges for those having such accounts. Now the branch is using twitter, maybe their privileges need to be removed.

in light of Jehovah's forgiveness should elders keep our sins in a file anywhere?
by tomty inwhy do the elders take extensive notes on the judicial hearings and file them in a file in the kh for decades.
is that following jehovah's example?
for god says.

It is just amazing how the process works. The elders are judge, jury, and witnesses all in one. The BORG is in fear of the JC elders changing, such as removal or moving. Therefore for your spriitual benefit a record is kept on you. By the way, even if they did not keep a written record of a JC meeting, usually all the elders and wives know of the meeting anyway. And that knowledge can last a long, long time.
