Welcome to this wonderful forum. The DF/DA procedure is so unloving. I associate with some "worldly" co-workers who are morally bad and that would be ok with the WTS. Just sick how the WTS works.

by DullBookworm ini have not been a sister for the past 19 years, i asked to be da'd as i had started smoking aged 12 and at 19 no longer wanted people to think badly of the jw's over my conduct.. for 19 years my father, an elder, has tried his damndest to bring me back.
he kept contact sometimes more, sometimes less, always under the threat to stop the contact alltogether.
at one point he managed to not speak to me for several months.

Tech49 has the CO over for lunch
by Tech49 inso awhile back, during our last circuit overseer visit, vic and i decided to bite the bullet.... there seemed to be very little support for the mid-week lunch plans for the co and his wife, so we signed up to host.
we definitely didnt want it to be awkward, so we invited a few others along, as a nice little group affair.
they were excited, and offered to do the cooking, so i said i would play along.. just some background.... this particular co is kind of a tool (big surprise right?

One power hungry brother told me awhile back that there is no CO that he cannot buy for cong backing. Amazing how God can provide for these traveling brothers while in the meager circuit work.

by punkofnice ini was a junior borgite in 1975. i remeber looking at the calendar at work in october and thinking: 'armageddon isn't here yet.....and it doesn't feel like it will be here anytime soon either!'.
i was surprised that jehovah hadn't obeyed the superior command to bring the big 'a' as instructed to him by fred franz.
how dare god disobey the jw leader!!!!!.

I was 20 in 1975 and 1 year baptized. 1975 meant alot to many jws. But being new I was not wrapped up into it. I thought the same way as Blondie, except I kept it to myself.

Save time preparing parts and attending meetings.
Save time from elders trying to manipulate to gain more power and glory.
Save time from 4+ hour elder meetings.
Save time from judicial meetings and playing judge.
Save time from C.O. visits scolding the elders for not doing sometime he wishes.
Save time from the ministry.

better to stay in or get out
by Crazyguy ini put in a da letter a couple of weeks ago but the elders have not opened the letter and wish to meet with me first.
i've seen the stress this has caused me and my family as well as the alienation of me from the family spiritually.
so the question is can i do more to get my kids out of this cult by staying a member going to meetings some times and planting seeds or get out and try to then get the kids out over time?

I agree with the comments about fading being a good option. It won't completely alienate you from your family and relatives. This way you can possibly gain a hearing ear in the family vs they turning you off if your are df or da because of being loyal to the GB.

Does it seem strange that the WT study was about the elders and now the Service Meeting. Is there a problem with the flock following the elders dictatorial rules? Apparantly the GB is trying to correct this.

A Mom, Dad And 2 Grown Kids (20ish) All Disfellowshipped This Week!
by minimus init happened in a local kingdom hall this past week.. my daughter went on one of the kid's facebook accounts and he posted pics of him with 2 joints in his mouth at the same time.. i heard the parents and sibling were aware of it and never reported it to the elders..
