i've been reading peoples experiences for several months now trying to figure out what i want to say but how do you put your whole life into a few words?.
i was a born in but have been happy and free for 5 years and luckily for me my husband felt the same way and we have freed our children from being brainwashed.

It Appears The Elderly Are More Taken Care Of Then Ever Before By The Elders
by minimus ini usually find fault with the religion but i must give credit when due.
in the hall my mom is in, they regularly check on her and assign different ones to visit and check on the elderly.. if there's a storm or an extremely cold day, they come by to make sure the elderly have everything they need..

I think it depends on the cong. The cong I was in the elders were too busy to make a call except maybe once a year. The BOE even assigned an elder to check on the elderly, poor brother could not handle it.

by raymond frantz ini was moved from the post of another user on this topic.like the film "there will be blood" that deals with passive aggression in religion i do now think that there will be an inevitable uprise against the lunatics of the governing body .too many of us wake up in a rate that has never been seen before because of the internet .what do you think ?
what shape will this uprise take ?.

I thought with the recent new light that there would be an uprising. But the basic jw continues on as if nothing new happened. Blind following blind often times exists in the WTS. Hence I do not think there will be an uprising, exodus, or major shrinkage. After all the WTS has free labor in those spreading their message door-to-door.

Hi! I'm New Here
by alecholmesthedetective inhi there, as was suggested to me, i'm starting this thread to say hi to everyone.. my awakening began recently, after the new light on the 'slave'.
i felt it didn't add up and went to check and found out ttatt.
for a while i tried to find evidence of whether the wt might still be god's organization, i needn't say i couldn't.. i had already resigned as a ministerial servant and a pioneer, had already had several issues with the elders and did not put up with their nonsense for a long.

Wow you were bold in standing up for what is right. Hope your wife does not try to pressure you. One thing I found interesting was how Jehovah stepped in to help "repentant" king David, instead of letting David fall in the hands of the judges. Yet Jehovah does not step in today, but lets the judges (elders) inflict spiritual death on sinners.

Thanks for joining. You don't have to feel wrong for being on this forum. The WTS encourages having an open mind before becoming a jw, so having an open mind will benefit you. The nice thing about this forum is that you can accept or reject. You are not forced to accept anything. There are some excellent reasoning points presented on this forum.

by sosoconfused inhello everyone, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.. i am a mid 30's just stepped aside elder, who just couldn't handle it anymore.. i am a 3rd generation born-in and former pioneer and bethelite.
it has been a log somewhat confusing ride for me, but i am finally settling in to realizing that i need to really look at what me and my family are doing.. .
its funny though what really got me here... it wasn't the 40 year old men telling me they were looking at boobies on the computer and hoping not to get in trouble, it wasn't the watching young people bail left and right, it wasn't the ever changing new light etc... but a simple thought.. .

Thanks for sharing your experience. I never thought of ones getting a free ride into paradise, while jws have to continually work hard to make it.
