I am starting to understand that creationists dont understand Evolution

How do you know this? Can you prove this?

You have faith in a book written thousands of years ago by people you don't know which has been copied, recopied, translated, retranslated. This book establishes a God that created the heavens and the earth and you believe it because it says you have to. The bible has been subject to manipulation, we can see this through the NWT.

While I remain open minded to all possibilities, I don't believe it reasonable to believe in this God over any other God.

I'm Starting To Understand Atheist and Evolution

for many years i was sincerely perplexed when someone told me they believed in the evolution theory or were an atheist.

i never understood how someone could ignore all the evidence for intelligent design and overlook all the holes in the evolution theory.

for example, the human biology clock is synced with the rotation of the earth, the earth is the perfect distance away from the sun to sustain life, the earth has an ozone layer to protect us from the sun's radiation, the earth naturally produces fruits and vegetables to be used for food, our bodies produce enzymes to break down the fruits and vegetables so it can nourish us, the earth produces water and oxygen, etc.

Actually the reverse is true. Atheists embrace logic and take a pragmatic, evidence based approach rather than base their beliefs on a book written in the bronze age.

If logic makes you believe that the universe is only possible with God being involved then what made God?

I also used to be like you and ask "How could anyone believe that etc... etc.. etc... theory blah blah blah". Then I realised my bias against it was created by the WT organization and not on my own understanding. Perhaps the same is true of you? Have you independently examined the evidence/fossil records?

Interestingly most main stream religions now accept evolution as the method by which God "created" or "molded" life.

While I am probably agnostic, I now accept that there is compelling evidence supporting evolution and have an open mind.

Glad you are allowing yourself to read some of the posts on this board. A lot of the posts you will find are of people in the same circumstances as yourself.

I served as an MS for several years but for me the trigger event was when I tried to understand the blood policy. The more research you do into it, the less sense it makes. The elders in my cong were woefully uneducated about it and this shocked me. I could not believe that a loving God would allow mistakes to continue for years (killing many innocent people). I could not accept how organ transplants were allowed, then not allowed, then allowed etc. in between brothers+sisters, even children dying.

I came to the conclusion that the Governing body are blood guility, they have never admitted getting it wrong EVER. Once I accepted the this to be true it was like a cascading effect and other "truths" came crumbling apart.

One thing I learnt when I left the organization is that you don't need to be a JW to be a spiritual person, you don't need to be a JW to love a God. Despite what you have been taught there are many genuine Christians... there are many genuine non christians as well.

Window Washers

i have been a witness (though only recently "conscious") for my whole life.

Very common job for JWs especially in UK + Ireland.

Several elders + MS are window cleaners. A lot of the young married men are also window cleaners.

They make good money, well they used to dont know what its like now. I never pay anyone to wash my windows thats what rain is for... :P

we all know they're here but we don't really know who they are.. they are people who sign up here and then never comment (or rarely ever do).. doesn't that make any of you regulars here at the very least a tiny bit suspicious?.

why would a person sign up to a forum like this and then never say a damn thing?

it seems to me that there is a primary reason why some folks sign up and then never comment on anything: to spy.

i think some want to be witnesses even if they know some of the teachings and views are questionable because they feel special!.

if they get a "privilege" or are allowed to pioneer or allowed to preach from house to house and be "ministers", they feel like they are somebody.. what do you think?

Write a letter. Step down. Give bogus reasons or real ones, whatever you want. Then you will be deleted lol . They will come after you if you try and fade as an MS.
