You can't tell a JW how corrupt and pointless the WT is. HE/SHE has to see it for him/herself and be WILLING to.
i hear a lot, both on this forum and elsewhere, about all kinds of things jehovah's witnesses believe.
but i've never felt that outsiders were a good source of information about what faithful watchtowers actually believe.
in fact, i've discovered that the worst source of information about a religion is from those who were members but left the faith.
Keep away, keep away! Too many people have wasted their lives in this cult. Even when you get out, you are not really out... Some of the posters here know more about JW theology than when they were actually members.

Started my pension at 25. Obligatory in the company I work for otherwise I wouldn't have, since that time I am no longer associating with JWs. Glad I have a pension hopefully by the time I retire compound interest and equities will have done their job!!

How did you come to the conclusion that "no blood" in the context that JWs teach is a correct biblical stand point.
Eating of blood in the scriptures only ever applied to animals, it was only the blood that was taken from a live animal during sacrafice. An Israelite could eat an unbled animal that he found.... This is scriptural. In addition they could sell unbled meat to gentiles. Why would God allow them to do this if it was wrong for humans to eat blood.
JWs fail to look at the context of the bible and focus on singular verses like "abstain from blood". If you are truly abstaining from blood then you shouldn't eat any meat nor should Christians breast feed their children because each has blood in it.
The blood doctrine of JWs is one of the most heinous and sick interpretations of scriptures that is responsible for countless many dying. Even thinking about it p*sses me off.
despite being in what she insisted to me was "the best way of life" my oldest sister has a bad case of depression.. i know on here, jwn, we tend to almost laugh at the number of dubs who suffer from depression, and blame the cult , which attitude may have a good deal of truth in it, i still feel that i would like to help her in some way and do not know for sure how to.. getting her out of the cult is not going to happen, and any lessening of her blind faith i feel would be dangerous for her.. can any of you good folk on here offer any advice.
the trigger for her problem is the fact that her husband is seriously ill, and may not pull through, but i believe she must have an underlying problem that the present circumstance has brought to the surface.
and she needs to be a positive support for him at this time, and cannot be.. here in the u.k the family doctor tends to prescribe some pills and see how you get on, if you don't top yourself, you can go back and he might try some more or different pills,beyond that not much is offered.. ideas?.
Uber normally means "really" or "very much"
For example if I said I was uber strong i would mean I was really strong.

I am repulsed at this doctrine and it was one of the principle reasons I stopped being a JW. The policy is so flakey and with a few minutes can be pulled apart.
I argued with a relative of mine and he used the reasoning that if he really thought it was correct not to take a blood transfusion and he died, Jehovah would resurrect him... This is not a society teaching (because the society is never wrong...) but I think many JWs have the same opinion because there is a lot of confusion over the policy.

so the watchtower in it's wisdom put a strict bad on women wearing pants at meetings, even in siberia or alaska where it is freezing cold....i qoute the governing body who said: "we need to show these sisters who wears the pants in our congregations...literally.".
in the 70's when it was all the rage, my mum tried wearing slacks to the hall....."go and get changed" said the sister who studied with her.
In Norway the sisters can wear trousers/pants since the weather over there frequently goes below -15 celcius. But in Mexico where the temperature goes 45-50 degrees celcius and there is no air conditioning the brothers must make sure they have suits and top button of shirt done up and also a tie... It was hell on earth sitting through two hours of oppressive heat argh............It's so funny how there are multiple standards in this unified religion....
