God's Name Discussion
by garyneal inseveral weeks ago, i was attending a meeting with my wife and i brought my king james translation of the bible with me.
one of the brothers came up to me after the meeting and asked me what translation did i have and i showed it to him.
he asked if i knew that god's name appeared in that translation and i said, "yes, psalms 83:18 i do believe.

i know to some that is a dirty word, especially if it is being said about something that they believe in.. i'm sure many here have seen that internet movie call zeitgeist about all the similarities in the jesus myth and other myths, what accounts for this sharing of themes found in myths all over the world?
even in peoples that are very remote from one another?.

How does the WTS understand this? (SERIOSULY NEED REPLIES)
by Strider Arekksu inhey, i'm trying to figure out how the wts concluded that the children of isreal were cast off.
it's hard to explain to people who beleive that this org came from god is true, when in fact it has teachings that can get people killed if i'm understanding correctly.
it is hard to get them to understand that teaching this is fufilling a prophecy that proves that the org is part of false religion.. there are so many verses that obviously prove this to be a lie and explain why it is a lie.. luke 4:18. matthew 10: 5-12. isaiah 11:11. levitcus 26:44, 45. isaiah 49: 14, 15. romans 11: 1, 2. romans 11: 25, 26. john 4: 22. now i know all organizations that are religious says that outside their religion everything is satan.

Aramaic vs Hebrew / Greek Scriptures.....
by EndofMysteries inmatt 1 just for an easy comparing and arugments sake.
just asking for little bit of help, do all original scrolls in those languages from which all bibles are made, do they all say the same thing, and are all the names the same?
trying to compare, and appeared the aramaic (trying to find a aramaic bible version), but the names appeared diff in it's language and scriptures a lil out of order.
