I am like Flying High Now, my first group I posted on was Women Awake. I am still posting there too. That was about 5 years ago and though I had been out of the "truth" for 20 years I still thought it might be the truth even if I hated the lifestyle. I met Grace/Mouthy there and she introduced me to JWD. I wasn't afraid to post and it was the best thing I ever did to get me free of fear of Armageddon and being wrong about leaving the WT cult.

How did you feel making your first post here?

i stayed home from work for four days scared to go out of my house thinking god would strike me down by lightening if was wrong with my thoughts... i couldn't sleep at all.... but i had to take that first step... as scary as it was....

Grace you were the one that told me about this JWN forum and all the forums. I will be ever grateful to you for that and never ever forget you. I just wish I could have met you in person but I got handicapped and can't go places easily anymore.
If being a Christian makes people like you then I can see why its popular. I still can't seem to accept it for myself, wish I could but you have a great way of looking at it, adopted kids, thats much better than a slave.
I have always been vain about my age but now I am a senior citizen and why hide it, my body has betrayed me anyway lol. I was 64 in October.

I live in Canada and we have guns here, There is strict laws for owning a gun and getting a PAL gun licence but we do have them here and lots of people own them legally.
I don't like guns for myself but its the person behind the gun not the gun that is dangerous. A golf club is dangerous, a chain saw, a knife, a machette if you have a evil person holding it with bad intent. No matter what we do its always the criminals that have access to guns but ordinary normal people don't have them without going through a huge amount of red tape and documentation.

Homeland is my very favorite show, I sit on the edge of my chair all tense through it all. Its very realistic. I think this season is even better than last. By far the best show on TV right now.
