  Does anyone find it too painful to read the WTS publications?

  been out 13 years and even for research purposes, i find it way too painful to read this wt stuff.. and why?.

  all the painful memories it brings back.

  don't misread me, it has nothing to do with a guilty conscience.. it has to do with the real pain, the anger of being ripped off and lied too by the wts, the anger of seing how they have protected child molesters, sacrificed its followers by refusing blood transfusions, the treacherous way we and others were treated by the 'unloving brothers'.

  Her relatives are saying that she had flu-like symptoms days before her death. However, I am some more inclined to believe that drugs were a contributor. I liked her also.

  Honestly OTWO, I am contemplating turning in my DA letter after my trip next year. I am sharing a room with a sister/friend who is somewhat aware of my feelings about this cult. Don't want to make the situation uncomfortable and pay double occupancy for a room. lol However, I am somewhat hopeful that I can perhaps convince my parents to reconsider their stance with it before leaving. Their not totally indoctrinated yet, but I know that it won't be long before they become full-blown.

  They came to me at a time in my life when I was having a lot of inner turmoil and some of the teachings appealled to me. I also enjoyed the association. But reality set in and I realized that I couldn't continue walking in it. Throughout my 14 years of being in, I have always had conflicts with the faith. Perhaps, I should have listened to that inner voice years ago.
