  ? for those being shunned who have little kids...

  if you have young children and you are shunned by other family members what you have told your children about why?

  my son (4) and i need to have a chat soon and i'm really not certain what i am going to say to him.

  he loves his auntie and uncle and gramma and he wants to see them.

  ((((((((Flower))))) good to see you again. When my son was little(he was 4 when I left the dubs), he used to call my brother and mother on the phone who are still JW's. They would come pick him up and visit with him once in a while. He was too little to realize that I was not invited. When he got older all I could do was tell him that it was their choice and I wouldn't stand in the way of their relationship. Over time, he chose to limit that association. He's now 13 and doesn't want a lot to do with them because he doesn't like the whole shunning thing, especially of his mom.

  i saw this flick last night.

  the most violent movie i've ever seen, hands down.

  a little more and it would have gotten an nc-17 rating for sure.. that being said -- brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

  I saw it on Friday night and I thought it was good. It was extremely violent though. There were a few times I had to look away but hey it was Quentin Terentino and it was to be expected. When does the next chapter come out?

  those of you on this board who were given the big d -- how did you actually feel at the moment the chairman of the jc that dfd you said those words -- angry -upset -toatl relief -- yipee?

  When my JC kept calling me at work to schedule the meeting, I handed the phone to my boss who told them to go f**k themselves and threatened to sue if they continued to harass his employee so I wasn't present for the decision. I heard about it through the grapevine.

  all the way from cow hampshire....my husband is from the fort worth area, so we won't be totally lost.

  my 12 year old son is really nervous about school.

  oooh-er i came over all american-ified there for a minute........ .

  sometimes online, someone, or some people come across as just thoroughly "decent chaps" (thats more british) they are rare types.

  i've been here just over a year and have posted some funny old stuff, sometimes when i'm angry, sometimes when i'm sad, other times when i feel critical about this forum, and sometimes some crap (as i'm sure some will remind me of) sometimes when i felt alone or worried, and lastly sometimes (coz i'm running out of sometimes) because i'm not sure where i'm headed.. throughout chris and nina, when i look back at past posts, have been kind and patient with me, particularly when i started being more honest with myself and the forum.

  hey everyone.

  i was wondering if there are any fellow step-parents or soon-to-be step parents around?

  i am a soon-to be stepmom to four girls (14,11,6,4).

  Hi out,

  Wow, four girls, that's an instant family for you. I am a stepmom to two boys and I have one of my own. Being a step parent certainly has its challenges but it can also have many rewards as well. The first year was pretty hard trying to mesh two different sets of rules and child rearing but over the years we have found a good common ground. The biggest help will be if the ex wants it to be a good relationship as well and will work with you and your soon to be husband. If that relationship works, then the kids won't feel any loyalty issues and let the relationship blossom. I realy hope that is your case and it will be an easy transition.
