Hang in there annalice. I may be wrong but if your husband only goes to the Memorial and conventions I think it is very possible that he has some doubts himself. Hopefully he will wake up.

What a precious baby, Erica! Isn't it great to know that you can provide him with a "normal" life? My first grandchild is due next week and it is so good to know that I can participate completely in her life with no JW guilt trips. It is so good to be free. Enjoy every minute. It is a pleasure to talk to you!

How many did YOU recruit?
by In_between_days injust a quick question, and one that seems to take jehovahs witnesses back a little, an extremely good question to ask a pioneer.
"so, with all your hours of service, how many people have you actually brought into the jehovahs witness organisation?".
um.... genuinely, 100% of my old jw freinds have all been raised in the organisation.

In 23 yrs. - None. Guess there are a lot of people out there who are smarter than I was. Thankfully that includes my kids!

Update on Mom
by Mulan inyesterday, before we went to dinner at mak and sabine's, a friend called me from the kh to warn me they had mom on the phone link for the meeting (their meeting is at 4pm).
i went downstairs to see what she was up to, since i had taken the phones out, to stop her from calling everyone in town to complain about the 'abuse she was suffering' at the hands of her daughter (me).
she was standing over the speaker phone (i had taken the hand set off), and she was furiously pushing buttons, and sobbing.

Mulan, just want to say that my heart goes out to you. You are a wonderful daughter. I am starting to go through some really tough things with my mom and just wish that I could handle it half as well as you do.

Oh how I wish I had woke up sooner. The guilt that I feel for having raised my children in this disfunctional so called religion is unbearable! I hope that any lurkers who are reading this will get out now before it is too late for their children.

I'm not sure if it was Ann Landers or Dear Abby, but about two years ago someone wrote to her describing what she and her family went through when leaving their "church" . It was exactly what I was feeling and it really sounded like they had been JW's. The reply was something to the effect of ...when an organization is demanding all of your time, energy and assets that something is definitely wrong and to get out. After reading this letter I knew that I had to break completely free. It confirmed all of my feelings. I do remember that someone posted it on this board.
