  Dead JW found in bath after 6 days

  hi guys.

  i was a witness in sunny old london and was in a congregation where a brother was found after being dead 6 days (estimated).

  he was an older publisher who had no family and was a fairly odd character.

  Some years ago in Canada, the Elders organized hospital visits so as not to miss taking care of those being treated. It was a beautiful idea, and the JW's loved the concern and care being shown to them.

  It was the GB of JW's who put a stop to that. It was wrong of those Elders to be so presumptious as to jump ahead of the GB direction.

  Can you think of any org. that would take such an unloving stand? How could that even come up in the heart of a follower of JC?

  You can not put this on the shoulders of imperfect, uncaring Elders in the congregations, they were imitating JC. It was solely the self-appointed, self-claiming, spirit directed GB.

  dear all,.

  i discovered this site only a couple of weeks ago and i already feel affection for you.. i am a 48-year-old woman and i live in spain, where i was born and raised, so i apologize in advance for my inevitable lack of style and possible grammar mistakes, due to english not being my native tongue.. i grew up in the truth and jehovah and the congregation have filled my whole life.

  well, i just finished reading marley cole's "jehovah's witnesses - the new world society" book from 1955. i'll provide a few quotes to introduce it in case you aren't familiar with the book.

  ray franz in crisis of conscience, p74, 2004 hc edition: cole wrote the book as if he were a non-witness writing an objective account.

  the idea was that by having the book published by an outside publishing firm it might reach persons who normally would not take society literature.

  ive had doubts for years had my mind opened and over the past year have decided enough is enough.

  sick of the lies and double standards no longer believing in what ive been told cant even step into a kingdumb hall i just feel like screaming ive decided to d/a, best decision ive ever made a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders no more pretending to others finally free.

  i decided to join the group though im reading this forum since years now.

  i almost know you all....by nickname i mean..... my husband joined you a few years ago already.

  but i do not feel so free of speech because english is not my mother tongue, but i read a lot english books, have some relations with english speaking people, have a nice friend who is active on this forum and very known (because of her discoveries), so i will try to do my best.

  " (1 pet 2:17) there may be a proper time and place for some actions that would be inappropriate at a christian meeting.

  (eccl 3:1) for instance, suppose someone sought to have all in a group link arms or hold hands during prayer.

  for the 2nd time this week, when i mentioned to someone that i am a former jw, i was asked if jws were paid for each new recruit.

  one girl told me that she heard that jws were paid $1200 for each new convert.
