Reasons to fade or not to fade

lately i've been thinking about fading from the cong but im not sure about what would be the top reason in my list.

without writing 2 page answers, question for anyone posting in repply to this or whoever reads this.

what would be your reason/reasons for fading?

My fade, while having great personal cost, SAVED MY FUTURE GENERATIONS. I got my kids out, and grandkids.

Looking to reconnect with some friends in the San Diego area

i moved to san diego over 10 years ago and was still active at the time.

since that time however, i have executed a nearly perfect fade.

i would like to see if i can get in touch with some of the friends i had made in that short amount of time to see if they are still going or possibly have opened their eyes as well.. i went to the pacific beach congregation for quite some time and also knew/visited several friends in the kearny mesa and spring valley halls.

just like in another thread a saw, the best way to deal with my jws is not debating or arguing, but instead posing questions for them to answer or not answer.

i want to come up with specific questions relating to the 'global flood' that completely debunk it.

Living Bristlecone Pines are absolutley known to be over 4700 years old by actual tree ring count. By counting rings of dead trees that haven't decayed yet, absolute proof has been established that these trees have been alive continuously for over 11,000. A really nice park exists near Bishop, California. No flood covered those mountains !!!!

it is not a huge surprise and i am not afraid nor "shaking in my boots", however i will admit it is stressful right now.

Shunning ... when it's Convenient

i have a lifelong buddy (g) who is now df'd ....doing great and happy.

he has a nice boat.

a while back he gets a call from a very well known elder who, of course, shuns him.. elder: "hi g. i know this is a little strange, but i don't know who else to call".

Elder: "Hi G. I know this is a little strange, but I don't know who else to call"

Buddy (G): "Hi elder, how ya been, nice to hear from you"

Elder: "I'm scared for my kids, they went sailing and are stuck 50 miles up the coast, tide coming in and they are stuck, cold, scared to get smashed into rocks. You are the only person I know that could go help them. Please?

Buddy (G): No problem, on my way.

My buddy is that type of guy. Went 50 miles up the coast and towed them back. A week later, those same kids saw him downtown and resumed the shunning. Who is the moral person?

so, i called him.................................................................................................. me: hello m. this is xelder, i heard that you had a conversation with h. the other day.

any idea why i might be calling you concerned about what was said?.

Hahahaha thanks for the replies everyone. Of course I know that this will fuel more gossip. What I did will cause more talk for sure. I am out and my kids are out so I can enjoy chances to bloody their nose a little. I have worked around their stupid inquiries for 3 years now and so far I'm Teflon. I even go into Saturday morning coffee break spots and chat up their flock right in front of them. I love it. But, I only do so once in a while and then go away. The publishers are all still nice to me when we meet in a store. They aren't sure how to label a fader, but I always visit and don't let them ignore me. For now, it is so fun to have my cake and eat it too. I know the elders game way better than most of them do because I was one of the top POS elders.

Thanks for the concern, but as of now, my Teflon is intact :)

Now, for a more fun single guy subject. Where are you single ladies ? :)

ME: Hello M. this is xelder, I heard that you had a conversation with H. the other day. Any idea why I might be calling you concerned about what was said?

M: Well, maybe because I said you were saying things against the organization. I did hear that about you. I was just concerned for you.

ME: If you were concerned for me, why are you talking to others? What does scripture say you should do?

M: Call you directly. But, I didn't have your number.

ME: If your child's life depended on getting in touch with me, do you think you could?

M: Yes.

ME: So really, there was no concern, it was gossip and probably slander.

M: Well, I heard it from another Elder, not from a publisher.

Me: So what ???? So now the elders are running a gossip story between congregations? Let's call the Circuit Overseer and see what he says. Or, you could quit being a worm, start being a man and apologize.

M: I'm sorry.

ME: And you are going to go stop the rumor with the other elder correct?

M: Yes I will, I'm sorry

ME: All is good. See ya

I had him by the balls. I had him on the phone alone. I made him squirm.
