Go Mouthy and Ted!!!
I'm wowed at the brave souls that asked you questions and that you had materials on hand for proof. Very effective! Google will be on fire tonight!

i am a new member to this forum, but i have visited for years.
i am curious to know why my name would remain as an active member, even though i haven't attended services for the past (i guess) 4 years or longer.
i am still in contact with a few members off and on, but i am really focusing on pursuing interest that i've put off for a long time (attending college).
Blondie said - If they counting you as an active jw, someone in the congregation is turning in time slips for you and the secretary is sending the info to headquarters. But I have never seen that done and could get the BOE into trouble.
In my case, the Secretary continued reporting time on my card for almost six months after I faded. I couldn't figure out why I was still being assigned talks/householder duty. I was told he got chewed out by the CO.

Sorry for the mental/physical anguish you are going throught.
Nothing good can come from discussing your doubts with the elders. In the end, they will use it to DF you. Don't put anything in writing for them and discontinue meeting with them. Their goal is not to help you understand WT teachings, they are trying to determine if you are a threat to the congregation.
From reading your post, I don't know if you are baptised. They can't DF you but they can mark you and label you as a spiritual threat to your family.
Also, maybe it's best if you don't share your thoughts and feelings about WT Inc. with your mother. She will feel it's her duty to 'save' you and take her concerns to the elders. Talk it out on JWN.
i haven't worn pantyhose for ~20 years, except for the odd special occasion in winter.
field service really ruined me for pantyhose.
sitting on those hot sweaty vinyl seats, getting up every so often to go out in the steaming heat....and freezing my jewels off in the winter...omg...i hated hose!!
Since I've stopped attending meetings, pantyhose have been pretty much banned from my wardrobe for a couple of years. Last winter, I started wearing hose and tights again. Tight hide a multitude of sins, don't want to get all TMI on yall.
I never wear pantyhose in summer, not now and not as a JW. And I hated prarie skirts as a JW(sorry JamieB and Emptyinside); I just stayed on top of my toe and leg maintenance in summer.
after being here on jwn for a while, one does see a spectrum of sorts.
there are people here in various stages of their exit from their lives as jws.
some are full fledged kh and fs attendees whom we call "the conscious class".
Do you still miss old JW "friends"? Yes but not enough to go back.
Do you miss the company of JW relatives? In my family, blood is thicker than WT ink. My family is know my thoughts and feelings on all things WT. It's not an issue and they won't out me. I' ve made tons of progress with my family. We are still close and get invited to family functions. They don't want to hear my apostate views and I don't want to hear the dub drivel. For now, no worries.
Do even the smallest of thoughts that maybe, just maybe, the JWs are right about some things, still haunt the darkest corners of you mind? Nada...lots of research and reading on this forum, the bible, secular books and past WT materials have killed any doubts about the JW being right about anything.
Do you still have the occasional nightmare about dying during the big A? Nope...see above.
My fade is 85% complete, I occassionally have to finesse the elders and nosy witnesses. I have few things in the works that will close this chapter in my life.
i've noticed on my brief time on these forums that there seems to be quite a few that have serious doubts about the org or know of all the lies etc of it but still go to meetings or even still serve as a ms or elder.. i'm just curious as to why you still bother going?
no offense meant here...i'm not being all judgemental like typical jws but am curious.
i'm guessing a lot of it is down to not wanting to break up the family or losing relatives etc.
to Mad Sweeney.
i love home remedies.
being able to use things from around the house to fix stuff, or treat illness is great.
a couple that i have used:.
Serenity - Mix a tablespoon with warm water. I'm kinda meh about it but my co-worker swears by it for weight loss and appetite. It helps with digestive issues.
Also, ACV with the 'mother' still in it is the best. Do a google search, it many uses.

Rebel8, that ACV is the business for acne and oily skin. It's also great as a hair/scalp clarifier and appetite suppressor.
how do some people *effortlessly* control others?.
and then there comes that first meeting they miss.. .
naked baby!
Wow, this was insightful.
what a piece of work.
couple of thoughts..... - i know they aren't in it for the money, but not a single member of the gb was wearing less than a $700 fitted suit.
might have been more expensive and tailored, couldn't tell.
Thanks for the quotes, Jwfacts.
