COC in public libraries
by diamondiiz ini haven't researched this but do library have copies of this book?
did you ever look for coc or any other book in a local library when you were a believer or when you began to have doubts?
how hard is it to find this book in a public library?.
-
sherah
My county library has non-circulating copy of COC, this is how I initially came in contact with the book. If you're local library has an inter-library loan program, COC and ISOF can be read that way. Many libraries have a strict privacy; I felt safe using the system. I reserved them online, used the self check out and returned them to the book drop.

The elders visited me, sometime ago
by sd-7 ini just wasn't up to talking about my life for awhile.
people who i wanted to tell, i tried to write or call you to tell you about stuff.
speaking of which, elderelite, did you change your number or something?

You're a better person than I for entertaining uninvited visitors. Sorry you had to deal with them, good job on questioning their motives.
Congrats on the new addition!

Why I Left Jehovah's Witnesses--a 10-page essay by sd-7
by sd-7 inwhy i left jehovahs witnesses.
they can be painful to bear, but sometimes that is part of life in a setting with many people and their various personalities.. it was my examination of evidence that did lead me to leave jehovahs witnesses.
they, of course, had failed to bear proper witness to his name.

Sewing Bold Prints
by Band on the Run ini used to sew advanced vogue patterns but not in a while.
i know just enough about large prints to ask a myriad of questions.
for decades, i've wanted a good quality chinoisserie print.

Make sure the fabric is on-grain and cut the fabric in single layer using the with nap markings on the pattern.
A quick google search will bring up a number sewing blogs detailing this technique. But you can't go wrong with Threads mag.

Having a huge disagreement over a very petty matter. HELP!!
by Magwitch inmy best friend and i have come to blows over such a petty thing.
i would love to get the input of other people on this matter.

My siblings and I 'borrow' from each other all of the time but I would never take the same liberties with anyone else. Even if I was doing them a favor. In my experience, when folks encourage you to 'help yourself' they're referring to food. Not booze, clothing and the contents of medicine cabinets,LOL.

Nice to hear from you!
I'm sorry that your parents are still shunning you. But it sounds like you are still holding your head high. Take care of yourself.
