  What do you think about Demons now?

  hi guys!.

  as many of you know, i'm still inside the borg, but my mind is completely disconnected.

  i had a chat with some friends during the week, and they started sharing experiences they had, dealing with demons in the past.. i heard some stories from brothers from cuba, that used to be mediums or "saints", and how the demons "immediately started to attack them when they started learning the truth(tm)".

  Blood Card

  while going through my wallet i found an interesting item--a "community blood center" card.

  as a volunteer donor i received this in the mail sometime ago.

  it has my blood type, id number, and a barcode, etc.

  Isn't it great having a Blood Card that really honors the sanctity of life. The JW card is anything but that.

  i received a pm from another long time poster - this poster has been out about the same time as i have - his circumstances in getting to his place have been quite different from mine.

  yet, he stated he feels that he is in the same place re: religion, spirituality, etc.

  so last nite he calls - and we had a wonderful conversation.

  Good thread. Nearly all former JWs can relate in one way or another to the spirit of this forum. To a degree, we're all kindred spirits of sorts because we've been there, experienced the same control, and loss when leaving. I'll usually go out of my way to attend a gathering of former Witnesses because we understand, and know the talk. We always have a lot in common.

  It's like Jeff said, there are some within this community that we relate to on a closer level. That doesn't mean we agree on everything, but there is that something that's there. Many of you might remember larc, and long time poster who died awhile back. We had that connection; we were kindred spirits.

  Another method of witness time-wasting

  yesterday as i was getting ready to go out i noticed from my bedroom window two women dressed in witness garb heading toward my house i didn't recognize them so when i answered the door they asked me if i was spanish speaking i said no and they then asked me if i knew of anyone the the neighborhood that was and i said no they thanked me and went off to the next door (doing the pioneer shuffle) to ask the same question.

  so this must have taken up a whole morning.

  my wife and i thought they could have spent their time so much more affectivly sitting in a coffee shop and saying olaaaa to each customer that came in and when one answered back they could have spewed their bs on them in spanish..

  As most of us know, doing time for the Tower is one of the most brain-dead activities one can do. To top it off, some JWs take it to the next level. Bless their little hearts.

  Will Awareness & Understanding Eliminate War by Making it Unexceptable?

  will enough people eventually get it so that a real change occures in most governemnts or will it just keep going like it has been for a long time with wars being fought to gain control of weath and people,, and the whole human race gets wiped out?.

  one of the first things that has to happen is that people need to be "enlightened", and i think most of us here already know that "corporate owned new media" has little to offer in that direction, many in this country, and many other countries have the internet in thier own homes and independant news sources at thier finger tips(isn't wikipedia great) and great search engines like google and others, this has to be a gradually gaining momentem, source of enlightenment around the globe.you might even say the internet may be a source of medicine to combat this ideological thought virus or as some like to use the term memes(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/meme) .

  lets face it the internet if used wisely and even not so wisely is a great source for deprogramming both the bullshit feed to us by the wt but also government&corporation inspired propaganda.. anyway i think nobody could disagree, that when enough people become enlightened(a critical mass is reached) that war would end simply because the wrongness is so obvious.

  I wish it were so. However, when citizens wrap themselves in their county's flag and say "right or wrong", think their religion is The Religion, compete for scarce resources, and allow mega-corporations to become the modern-day Robber Barons--we'll have wars. Creating a world of haves and have nots means we'll have wars.

  " imagine when you are in the new system in a beautiful place, you will be able to look back and think ' wow!

  i had a good share in the preaching work and was part of fulfilling mat 24:14".

  Religion is okay as long as one doesn't take it religiously. It's fine playing with ideas that we can't prove, but turning them into dogma opens up a can of worms.

  the society has changed equally as big doctrines in the past, but could this end the illusion?

  i have read a lot of leolaia posts and have seen the attempt of scholar to counteract however unconvincingly.

  im not after conspiracy, im after fact, could they move the end of the gentile times to 1934/35?

  I agree with watson. Simon would need to invest in a much bigger system to keep the forum going! :)

  Yes, the Tower can survive just about any stupid thing they say and do--history has already proven that. Folks following blindly do this by not questioning God's Organization (remember those days). JW's are not to question why, JW's are there to do or die.
