  Anybody ever head of this Church Org - Looks like a JW Clone--

  Rutherford, cranky old master manipulator that he was, got one thing right: "Religion is a snare and a racket".

  Steve2 -- If anyone should know about sects being a snare and racket, Rutherford should know! I'm not a believer, but I also don't believe ALL religions are a racket. Many of them provide services to the believers and the community. That doesn't make them God's spokesperson, but they are serving a need in an honest way.

  Sects like this group, JWs and many others are indeed a racket that snare and entrap. They do more harm than good and wreck the lives of countless followers.

  So who here has seen Russels grave? Weird huh?

  i just found out my 67 year old elder/dad has been there too, with his sister who used to live up that way.

  it is freaky-deaky weird/scary.

  why the hey would jesus pick a weirdo group that thinks pagan egyptian pyramids (who used to enslave and torture gods people) could give the answer to his second coming....pathetic...................oompa

  I think the group that looks after Russel's grave is called Berean. I've met some of them years ago at a ex-JW conference. They seem very sincere, and still use some of Russel's writings. They also have some summer camp meetings where family and friends get together.

  Sometime in the early 70s I saw Russel's grave, and you're right, it's "weird." Some from the break-away Bible Students group used to change his photo that's under a little glass on the side of the pyramid tombstone. I don't know if they still do it anymore, but the group is still around and goes by another name (can't remember it now).

  The lights in our KH kept getting brighter with each new Watchtower. We were not allowed to question the light. You couldn't replace the lights because replacements were false religious lights. The lights use a lot of energy because Jehover gave them the power way back in 1914--He is very powerful.

  Radio programme tonight, trying to get witnesing banned in Aust.

  haven't been around lately, but life is great.

  rarely think about the witnesses these days and my mental health is getting better and better.

  was listening to triple m (a radio station here) and the dj was doing a talk back segment about how annoying it is to have witnesses etc.

  I don't think for a minute that a ban on their door to door activity will pass. However, it's always good to see that the dubs are looked at in such favorable light--it gives a "good witness."

  It's an old game that's been around for many years, and scares the crap out of bible-thumpers. The JWs and others like them believe the demons are out to get them through the OUIJA Board because they're special.
  
  It would be fun to hang a board on the front door when you see the dubs in the neighborhood; it's much better than a "No Solicitation" sign. Instead of the JWs knocking at your door and hanging around forever (counting their time) they might actually RUN from your house to the donut shop. :)

  My Bethel Experience Part 16

  we are nearing the end of the journey.......so this next two chapters will be called "odds and ends" or things i didn't put in the right chapters..........because i thought of them after those chapters were written..... bethel joke.

  three guys are sitting around, each drinking a large glass of beer.........a publisher, a pioneer and a bethelite.......just then, a fly lands in all three of their glasses of beer........the publisher....pushes the glass away and says....."i can't drink this now"...........the pioneer looks over........picks the fly out of the beer and keeps on drinking............the bethelite.........picks up the fly by it's wings and holds it's head over the glass and says "spit it out......spit it out!".

  one guy, who didn't spit it out.........we'll call him bob.......went to my roommates polish wedding, in green point.......now those people know how to put on a wedding!
