Very well done, and hits the nail on the head--thank you for sharing!
Truth that can't be questioned is never the truth.
my apologies for not posting this here sooner, but i've been swamped with a very big project... one that i will share with you in the not too distant future.. this is my most recent youtube video and addresses a subject i've identified as extremely important to many of us ex witnesses.. it's called deconstructing apostasy, and basically it examines apostasy according to watchtower... my hope is that the message will start to break down the barriers of what an apostate is and how the watchtower uses that term to effectively subjugate its members by silencing any conscientious questioners.. hopefully you'll be able to see it below, otherwise here's the link (it's best viewed on youtube in high definition) - deconstructing apostasy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3j5hkv2cnw.

i just made my first post in simon's new forum and it went without a hitch!
very clean.
very smooth.
This is my 3rd post today, and I agree--it's very nice. Thanks Simon!
would appreciate your input.. mtsgrad.
This is true in my case, too. It's been over 40-years ago, but she remains in my heart to this day.
i was cleaning up my room and i found letters from a girl i loved.
although she was leaving in a scandinavian country she was so warm and cute....but it was my fault that this affair didn't continue.
then i realize that this love was fake.
"If I had left WT would she stay by me? Or she loved me as long as I was a JW?"
When looking back at JW relationships, I think you raise some good questions. As you know, life as a JW is all about the cult. If that's removed it's nearly impossible to know if relationships would remain strong thereafter. We seen some whole families on the forum exit the Tower, and others brocken apart. But it's always a question when looking back, isn't it?
what say ye?
this is, after all, an end of an era of the most important jw discussion board since any boards existed.
major stuff has been revealed here.
The jwd has been the biggest and best internet site for jw topics and issues. Countless folks have been helped, and friendships made. The Tower has been exposed for what it is, and I can't praise Simon and his helpers enough for their kindness and sharing their skills!
so i went to our "last" book study night last night.
there were actually people crying during the last prayer !!!!
omg.
Rats--I have not been to a meeting for over 20 years, but feel like I'm missing something now that it's not there. :) I used to conduct the book studies for several years, and the only thing we got out of the meetings was the fellowship afterwards as others have also stated.
here is what happens to middle-aged bethelites when the watchtower society no longer needs them:.

Great clip--thanks for posting it! I knew a fairly young couple who worked at the WT Farm. He became ill and the Society gave them their walking papers. A month or so later he died. No insurance, no money, no timely health treatment. His spouse applied to go back to the WT Farm after his death, but was turned down because she lacked the skills needed at that time.
just curious.
no, go to hell: don't laugh!.
there's folks from nations that are predominantly 'roman catholic'.
I grew up in a non-church going family, but it was more Protestant. I consider myself non-religious today, but don't consider myself more non-Cat or non-Pro one way or the other. I more or less view religion as an interesting topic, which offers many people various benefits. However, I consider myself more non-religious toward folks who take their religion religiously. That can be Catholic or Protestant. Does that make any since? :)
i'm amazed at how many on this forum, believe the gb really believes their own lie, that they are god's "official channel".
are there many of you that believe as i do.
i believe somewhere deep down they know they are just fooling people.
When you tell a lie over and over again, the one telling it starts to believe it, too. After awhile the brain doesn't even question the statement. Folks who no long believe the WT crap still call it "the Truth" until the brain kicks into gear again.
Yes, about 25-years ago--I'm still waiting for a reply.
