Petezahut......your post has me Laughing my fool head off....pop pop goes the jawbone....and 1000 whacks and all those broken skulls but that blessed jawbone nary a chip?
The fox one is just plain bizarre....
written and produced by bible writers...you can't make this up!.
who needs hollywood scriptwriters when you already have a bible story that has drama, suspense, and unbelievable twists and turns?
imagine the story of a man who visits prostitutes, kills a 1,000 man army with a skull bone, kills a lion with his bare hands, loses his strength by getting a haircut, gets his eyes gouged out, works at a grain mill and tears down columns with his bare hands, killing himself and the philistines!

the first two study articles of the latest wt raise the usual sense of urgency with more of the same theological quackery russell would be proud of.. first up, something we've always known, the embarrassing admission that jws think they are the center of the universe:.
even though god’s servants make up only a small portion of the world’s population, they are often at the center of major world events.
because satan and his entire system have one prime objective—conquering those who serve jehovah .
Do tell....of what major events are they or have they been center?
The situation in the Middle East? The dissolution of the Soviet Union? Hurricanes, landslides, avalanches, tornadoes? Britain departure from the Euro? Mass shootings?
Quackery it is.....
“parents train your children to love jehovah “.
the title says it all really, but par 6 has this piece of advice.. “jesus likened our time to “the days of noah,” and there is no doubt that we are living in “critical times hard to deal with.” (matt.
24:37; 2 tim.
Then they tout the last days "no natural affection" then personally prove it by shunning their non-believing offspring...effectively disowning them, banning them from existence.
No good humane advice coming from this cult.
a picture so embarrassing, even wtbts inc does not want to describe it?
this week's study, no 52, march 1 2020 wt dec 1919. picture description (on page 27) for pages 23 and 26 but not for the one on page 24, too embarrassing?
picture it, page 24. the wt lady, with a head volume ~8 times that of the gentlemen sitting behind her, eager to have her voice boom in the kingdom hall, raising arms with 3 other "sisters", whereas all 4 males are abstaining.
Why are some if not most of the men in this photo grinning? Subject matter a tad unnerving for them?
Sister Smith needs therapy.
my wife and i are not religious nor do we want to be.
we are very set in our spiritual beliefs.
we have worked with a jw who's family have been like a part of our family for 6 years.
They cannot be good JW's if they maintain such a close relationship with non believers. Anyone not of the religion is considered a "bad associate" who can potentially "spoil useful habits"...
Your time together no doubt is counted as field service time, unless they are not really all that into the cult. As for your kids.....you can make it clear that you do not want them to teach them anything about religion, the bible, etc......that is your prerogative as parents.
Hope this situation doesn't go awry.....
i was thinking about this at work the other day, and realized the one positive thing i can truly credit the jws with: .
i have no fear of public speaking.
i was a shy kid, fat, clumsy, with crooked glasses and worse teeth, who wore hand-me-downs in one of the wealthiest counties in all of america, who sat still while classmates got up to salute the flag or recite the pledge of allegiance.
This thread reminds me of going to weddings and asking my husband later what he liked best about the event and he'd respond "leaving".......
Indubitably the best part of being incarcerated in the cult was the sublime relief of finally completely LEAVING!!!!!
hello all, i'm 'researching', a jw who is in the first steps of taking a look at their beliefs.. i've semi-recently (about a couple weeks ago) heard about the sexual abuse cases (pennsylvania attorney general’s investigation request) and then the arc in 2015. this lead to a deep investigation, which lead to many questions arising.
a jw friend of mine suggested i be careful (due to apostates) and ask the brothers.
so i typed up my questions + concerns and emailed an elder my mother has known for a long time.
Keep up the good work, Research. Think objectively. But if as I gather you are dependent on living with the religion for practical or financial reasons, keep a low profile. It is a death trap cult....and honest answers to your questions will likely be sidestepped and your motive for asking them questioned.
Good luck and be smart!
it seems some people still maintain that trump will try to get help from the russians “again”..
Anticipating a barrage of "dislikes"..... They hacked into the system in 2016 and are working on the same for 2020. And the current potus has no problem with that. It serves his dictatorial interests.
what were some of yours?
the big one in our hall was no frontal hugs!
these were generally thought of as inappropriate, only side hugs should be given between sisters and brothers.
Reminded of yet another....regarding the resolutions..when the question who seconds this motion was asked ...only an appointed servant could do the honors. I recall once when my husband (a non titled brother) raised his hand to second it and was called on...and then the bro on the stage asked for a second one to second the motion and got a titled one to do so. Idiots.
i remember going door to door in the late 60's with my mother as a 5 or 6 year old.
one time she caught me looking at the wind chimes on a porch.
she told me they had pagan origins, were evil, and were somehow connected to demons.
Oh yeah....pinatas too. I love wind chimes....always did and always will. Have several!
