147Weird "new world" artwork from the 2013 calendar
by cedars inmy mother-in-law has a strange obsession with calendars, and orders the society's calendar each year.
this year's calendar is especially weird.
it features images depicting future events - in particular, the society's vision of the new world order.. i've taken the opportunity to scan some of the images for you all to check out.. please note - there are captions for each of the images, but i don't have the english language version of the calendar so i'd rather just quote the scripture used so as not to reveal which country i'm in.. .

New Release for 2013 District Assemblies
by RubaDub inan insider at bethel has confirmed that there will be a new book released this summer at the district assemblies.
the society is using some new technology called "current light.
" it allows them to print the book with certain parts in permanant ink (as has been historically used) while other parts of the book have erasable ink.. as i understand it, sentences that begin with words such as "evidently, apparently, obviously, it appears that, likely, clearly, doubtless" and numerous other phrases will be in a slightly different font so that the "current light" sentences can be easily changed when needed.. for example:.

omg - you guys are cracking me up!!!! i started reading thinking someone has the scoop on some new drivel and it's this hilarious erasable ink/replaceable expressions thing....then i get to moshe and it gets better - then "etch a sketch"................................haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhahhahhah love it!!! thanks guys!!!

BoE Facebook Accounts

it seems my congregation boe has its own facebook account.
its deactivated but when issues on facebook arise they activate it to check out whats happeneing.. does something similar happen in other kingdom halls?.

i thought the word from headquarters was to stay far far away from social websites?!? i would think that all the seriously obedient ones would view facebook as the plague. and how can they spy on people who have their privacy settings fixed appropriately? whatever....it's all a bunch of hooey.

Wow, I seem to have made it out alright..
by GoodGuyGreg inhi, new member here, but i've lurked for a while.. for obvious reasons, i won't give too many details about myself, but i thought i'd share my story of what might in the end have been the easiest fade in recorded history.
it's going to be a wall of text, and i'm writing it mostly for myself to get it out of my system, but it is, of course, a pretty open forum, so any comments and most questions are welcome.. here goes:.

GoodGuyGreg - first thank you for your intro...and I do hope things continue to go smoothly in your relationships with those still involved with the religion. Your CO who came up with the theory that if you do "something bad", your faith can be taken from you is a new one on me! And it makes no sense whatsoever. Kindness is a fruitage of the spirit....so God can turn a person who expresses kindness into a cold-hearted cruel beast because he's done "something bad"????? I am not doubting the ultimate capabilities of God, but this reasoning seems to negate free moral agency...it's skewed at best.

the whole thing is based on adam and eve - they were perfect and tested for obedience and took the taboo fruit, ate and were doomed to death.....so in the new world, the idea is that every human will have to pass a test like adam and eve.....but instead of living on 900 some-odd years and peopling the planet, those people will be put out of the way immediately, since there will be no reason to keep them in existence. then - after everyone is perfect and the demons are cut loose - again, more devilish influences only on perfect people who won't have our current sinful desires.....it's all about culling out any of the species who don't live up to the standard.

this is all so sick......i've never been an elder or a man, but seriously......a couple of people did the deed, end of conversation. if they simply asked the individual how he felt about the circumstance - mentally, emotionally - that's one thing....but all this detail is just plain sick, especially when you think that some of the dudes are probably getting off just listening and contemplating it.......i find it appalling.
