Coping/Living/Understanding

i’m relatively new to this forum but am far from new when it comes to living life as a jw.

i wanted to throw out there my own personal experience and feelings and welcome any conversations (i’m mighty chatty and don’t have much for friends when it comes to jw’s) .

i hit the turning of an era nearly a month ago of legally becoming an adult, raised as a j dub my whole life.

what you are experiencing is what millions of young ones now living are experiencing right now... and millions of us experienced at one time before.....

robots will act like robots... your parents and all JWS are robots.. they don't think... they have a specific set of answers and questions for everything... they will react exactly the same way... all of them..

That gives you an advantage....

you can anticipate what they will think and say for every action or statement you make.

either you learn to live with it... or start planning your escape... but you will do it alone... unless one of the robots close to you is unplugged as well.

Don't lose your cover.

Kids Without Rules

i see a lot of kids that rarely get discipline.

they are allowed to do whatever they want and if someone says something to them they don’t want to hear, they blow them off, ignore them or engage in disrespectful talk.. what’s wrong with today’s parents??

they are producing a generation of entitled brats!.

Today's parent do what their parents taught them to do.

I guess that the kids that don't annoy you are usually the kids that aren't yours :)

Just answer with more pictures of the fun activities you guys do as a family and how the kids are growing and that those minutes will never come back because the kids will only be that age once and that's it.

making dumb guesses about god's cryptic prophecies makes them foolish and indiscreet- not false prophets who claim god gave them the message.. two questions—.

1) what is the “true religion‘s” definition of a prophet?.

so, if you expect to find 'saints' with halos, you will never find real christians.. after over 30 years of being a jw, there are many things about the org that disturb me- yet no one else even acknowledges the only true god, as jesus referred to him.. not a 'they' or 'them' ('trinity')- but him!and he has always had the name jehovah (yehovah in hebrew)- even though the koine greek had no version of it when the nt was written.. so among the many things real christians have to endure- is often each other!

why do you mention halos? arent you a member of the jw.org cult? according to tour sacred ordinances halos are pagan.. so your OP is using something your suppose to avoid.

Curious to know the Zoom attendance figures for for the memorial

i’m just curious to know the local attendance figures for the memorial.

my father told me they had an attendance of 140. not flattering for a cong of 100 pubs.

i was sort of surprised at this considering the quarantine measures and everyone being forced to stay at home.

and since everybody is a participant... the number is gonna go up.

how do you determine whether to show a jw the truth or not?.

now some of you still believe in the bible.

to you the answer would be obvious - we preach to anyone as much as possible.

to show "the truth"? they have "the truth". are you aware they are under mind control? and that any attack or crticism will trigger their phobias?

only the zombies who are ready to wake up will.

they need to find the answers to their questions by themselves. do they have questions? or you just want to preach?

Misinformation in CoC

hello everyone, i know that many here like me have read ray's book crisis of consience, i was very impressed with it, it helped open my eyes to the hypocrisy and double standards of the wts, and ray gave me the impresion of being a very loving and kind man, not the demonized apostate we were all lead to believe.

but, i noticed something that wasn't quite correct when i was reading the part that spoke of then brother rene vazquez, he makes it seem like all rene did was have private conversations with ray and nothing else, this is not true, i for a fact know that this was not all that happened.

in a ms meeting on tuesday back in 1980, rene was conducting a part and he went up to the stage with only his bible, he started saying that all we needed was the bible, that we would no longer be using other publications by the wts .
