I think you have caught their habits though !
What habits might that be?
if the witnesses follow the old law of "not eating blood" (even though the bible is pertaining to animal blood) then why do they not adhere to the command to avoid fat?
in leviticus 3:17 it states: 'this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or any blood.'".
there is fat in almost every meat we eat.

my hubby and his fellow wt crew are building a new hall and he is working several days a week for the next few months picking up steel, security etc.... thats fine and dandy if thats what you wanna do but, he doesn't have any privileges in the hall and he's been reaching out for months but they keep telling him to wait.
what i don't understand is.... if they won't grant him any privileges in the cong., then why is he "privileged" to work on a building project?
also, why in the world are they building halls when the end is so imminent?

there is always at least 2 or 3 really crazy persons in the kingdom hall.
the kind of person that when they raise their hand the speaker on stage knows he's taking a gamble if he calls on them - yet he can't discriminate.. anyhow, i remember one time a younger brother was doing sound and one of those crazy brothers was about to give his 5 minute talk (i forget what number that was, prior to them just reading scripture).
the crazy brother slipped the young brother doing sound a cd and said "play this when i get on stage".. well, he gets up on stage and all of a sudden hawaiian music starts playing... the man on stage just starts dancing.
good stories! Thanks for the laughs.

hello guys!i am just introducing myself here.
i have been visiting this site for about a year but never really posted much but i have really learned and enjoyed the topics on this forum, in fact i think this is the best discussion forum i have yet to come across .. a little about my situation is i am a non religious person married to a devout witness, when i met him 4 yrs ago he was out in the "world", never really mentioned his beliefs as we were enjoying life without it.
the more we dated the more i realized that something wasn't right.
Thanks u guys are great!! For the record I AM NOT HAVING ANY CHILDREN!!! lol We have been good. have been talking lately about the things I don't agree with like..the blood issue, everyone but Witnesses dying , other ways to preach besides door to door and it went pretty well. We just agreed to disagree and moved on so I think we are good as far as that goes.
GARY! How are ya!! U wanna KIT? Maybe we can encourage one another . I would love to chat with anyone going through something similiar . [email protected] C YA!

Not to make light of the situation, but where were the protection from the Angels? They claim that they are always gaurded by the angels when out in service so what happened in this case?
I feel terrible about what happened and that was a gruesome way to go, but this just goes to show you that ALL people die in all kinds of horrible ways. Methinks they should stop using that "protective angel while doing Jehovah"s work" example in talks because it is not true at all!
Being in "Jehovah"s Org. does not give you automatic protection from anything(like they claim) it can only give you a "hope" of everlasting life, which is still not gaurenteed because it"s up to God if he wants you to have it or not.
in 1993, a former jehovahs witness kingdom hall in commerce became the new spiritual home for some two dozen catholic families and it was named st. catherine laboure to honor sister catherine and the french nun who was given the vision of mary now inscribed on the miraculous medal.. .

Good one
why do the witnesses always stress "free home bible study"?.
as if other religions charge for them.
i never understood that lol..

I wonder how often they read the Bible without the literature . I never see that.
