  So Will This Be Your First Christmas?

  funny how the prospect of christmas takes me back to my pre-dub days as a 7 year old.

  christmas eve was spent making my present request list, duly guided by both my parents as to what to ask for.

  once completed, the coal fire was stoked up and the precious list was allowed to be carried up the chimney where waiting elves promptly delivered my requests to santa.

  This will be my first official Christmas. I didn't feel much like celebrating the last one. Now that I actually have someone to give a gift or two to, I will. Funny thing is, I just about have all of my shopping already done. Now, my closet has the gifts in them, and I have to wait two more months to give them. The waiting is killing me. I am like a little dog just shaking with excitement.

  UN/WTBS - WTBS answer to all JWs

  un/wtbs wtbs answer to all jws.

  i think almost everyone on this board is aware of the latest case about the un/wtbs connections.

  4 days later i receive an answer letter.

  Official:
  In the red corner weighing in at ??? lbs we have LovesDubs. And in the blue corner weighing in at ??? lbs we have the WTBTS. Come into the center of the ring, shake hands, and when I signal, come out fighting.

  Ding-Ding.

  Commentary:
  WTBTS is a strong and proven champ, with pleanty of experience. LovesDubs is a new kid looking to strike fast, so their is doubt if LovesDubs can handle a full 15 rounds. LovesDubs comes out swinging. Upper cut, upper cut, upper cut, body blow, body blow. Five unanswered shots. Now LovesDubs is jabbing. The champ is taking a beating. LovesDubs is backing the champ into the corner. LovesDubs is hooking, hooking, another body blow. The ref may have to stop the fight. I don't know how much more the WTBTS can take. Ohh, LovesDubs lands one on the chin. WTBTS is staggering, and down WTBTS goes.

  Official: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, YOU'RE OUT!

  Commentary: Unbelievable! LovesDubs has shocked the world, in stunning fashion. LovesDubs has knocked out WTBTS in one minute fifteen seconds into the first round. LovesDubs is the new world champion.

  the bible says that "...it is impossible for god to lie.." (hebrews 6:18).

  however, if causing a person to believe something which is not the truth is a lie, then that is exactly what paul said god did:.

  and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the lord jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

  Maybe get married and have kids. Depends on if I have time for it!

  That is just sad. One of these days she will realize she is just an old maid, with nobody to feel close to. That is one thing I could not understand. I wanted to get married, so I could have a person to be close to. I could never find anybody in the Kingdom Hall because they were waiting until after Armageddon. It is just as well, because I could never stay married to a Jehovah's Witness after learning the real truth about them.

  A letter I received from a JW

  this is a letter i received from a jw, sent anonymously.

  it was hand-written in red ink, and i have little doubt that had the composer a supply of blood handy, he or she would have written using that.. this was received in response to a very compassionate letter my wife and i sent to our former friends and family, telling them of our reasons for leaving the organization.. the attitude expressed here is typical of the treatment we have received since leaving the wtbts.

  (i am roundly blamed for my wife leaving the org, since she was considered to be "strong in the truth", whereas i was always a nominal witness at best.).

  i work for a nationwide christian radio program that airs on sunday's and this week we are having on a jehovah's witness.

  if you would like to listen in, go to kprz.com and you can hear it live or go to contendfortruth.com and see if it will be broadcast in your area.

  it should be interesting, i really didn't think jw's did that sort of thing (have a public debate).
