It's a little late in the day now, but if I remember correctly ( ! ) I had a bowl of rice crispies w/half a banana, and 2 cups of coffee! (This is fun... ha!)

The brothers hacked my email!
by Erin injust learned that a group of jws hacked my email over a considerable period of time, hoping to intercept "incriminating" information in an attempt to disfellowship me!.
they printed up the emails and passed them out to other elders to "examine".
they were certainly very, very disappointed to not find anything they could "use".. the only outgoing emails from me they obtained were those attached to incoming mail as a result of some friends hitting "respond" when they wrote back to me.. the person who got into my email account is a ministerial servant who had previously worked on my business web site and therefore had my password.. he would download my email onto his computer, miles away, and then put everything back as "unread" so nothing would be "missing", when i accessed email from my computer.

by joelbear inmy path needs to be revamped.. i do plan to have a serious discussion with elders and attend the kingdom hall.
where that will lead, time will tell.. i am not leaving mitch.
even if i did become a jehovah's witness and celibate again he would love me just the same and i him.. you cannot become ungay.

Hi Joel... I hope you're still on the board to read my thoughts to you. I agree with everything everyone has told you on this thread... both positive AND negative ideas/arguments. I am still technically "in" ... but haven't attended meetings in a long while... my entire family is in also, and I cannot upset them at this point in time. HOWEVER... I KNOW that this organization is not based in truth. I think you do too. I think you know also, that if it is not ALL truth, it cannot be God's spirit directed organization. Joel, I don't understand how you think you will be able to still "be with" Mitch in any way, shape or form if you decide to go back. Anyhow... I do understand that this is your journey, and no one elses, and I wish you all the best. PLEASE check back and let us know how you are doing. Also, could you please answer Flower's question? Do I convert for him????

I totally agree with outnfree!!!!! Don't even THINK about getting baptized! Tell his family in no uncertain terms you are DONE with the bible studies and that you'd like to remain friends, but you are NOT interested in the JW faith. (See how long they'll stick around!)
As for your guy: He CAN be with you AND MARRY YOU if that's what you both want. He WILL NOT be disfellowshipped because of this. The JW's CANNOT enforce a rule as to who you can and cannot be with (they try, but there's no scriptural grounds for it!) Tell this guy that he needs to look deeper into why he feels as he does and that it IS possible to take the relationship to the next level, it's HIS choice!!!! If he doesn't, then i'm truly sorry to say he does not love you as you believe he does. Period. I was married to a non-believer and it took a while for my family to "accept" him, but they did over the course of a few months and actually ended up liking him very much. I'm involved with a non-JW again now, and initially preached to him (about 1 year ago) with the sole purpose of trying to make it easier FOR ME... if he converted it would be soooo simple. But now, with all the stuff I'm learning here... I told him the other night that I'd NEVER preach to him again! : ) Jbean
