  Assistance requested before someone ends up spending mucho $$$$!

  hi everyone... i have a "hypothetical" situation... here's the issue: i have an "ex" (baptised but no longer involved with the jws)... we got divorced legally, but not for "scriptual" reasons (not because of adultery) said ex has now moved away but it has been found out that they are living with a member of the opposite sex.

  same mailing address, single family home, etc.

  is this enough grounds for disfellowshipping?

  Who would you most like to meet.?

  i'm just curious...if you had the opportunity, who on this board would you like to meet if given the chance (or could without getting "in trouble"!)?

  (could be serious, could be fun...) i for one, am just sooo curious to meet the cat himself... just to find out if he's much different in person than in his online persona!

  ...and maybe pet him a few times in the process...

  Did anyone watch Larry King show last night?

  just wanted to know if anyone saw the segment where he was interviewing david smith (ex-husband of babykiller, susan smith, here in the us).

  it was a great interview, despite the fact that over 5 years after this horrible murder, the dad (david) could barely speak about his 2 small sons.

  at one point, larry asked david if he believed in god.

  hi everyone... back in late december, teejay posted a question on why the baptismal change?

  i printed out the thread.

  the 2 questions were posted: the initial questions were taken from the may 1, 1973 watchtower and then the changed questions were posted from the june 1, 1985 watchtower.

  hi everyone... in my last post i admitted that i was semi computer-illiterate (!

  ) so my question is, given the stuff that's just gone on with yoyo/sexyteen's threads... how does simon (or anyone) figure out that these are the same people?

  i'm asking because it seems that i've never heard anyone of any other faith make comments about apostates.

  in reading recent threads from scumgrief and yoyo... they are happy and active and are defending the organization.

  i just had a thought of what jesus said that in coming to him and the truth, one might lose brothers or sisters or mothers, etc., but in doing so, they would gain him and an abundance of other "family".

  don't know if most everyone has stumbled across this yet, it's on a pretty popular site... but it's absolutely priceless!

  i read it about 4 months ago while i was "lurking...." and laughed my self silly.
