I'm not a member of www.youtube.com yet, but I do know they get a lot of internet traffic.

For example, anyone wishing to participate could make a VHS or DVD of themselves giving a 5 to 10 minute speech (using their learned extemporeneous MS skills ) to relate their own experience with the watchtower and why they chose to get out. Then, upload it to YOUTUBE using as part of the titile "JWD."

Every one who wants to participate is resposible for the content of their video. Towards the end of each video, we direct viewers who wish to learn more about escaping cult mentality to go to: www.Jehovahs-Witness.com.

In regards to your question. Yes it is possible to have a painless relationship. I have had so much deep respect for my mother. She is not perfect but I just admire her so much. Out of the few mistakes she may have made none were malicious, she simply was not well informed on certain matters. She raised me as best as she knew. Her unconditional love for me was there before I joined the cult, during the time I was actively in it, and she was there for me as I struggled to break free.

The list could be very long. Where to begin...

I thought only people who took the magazines were "sheep like ones." (yeah, I know, stupid to think that.)

I bought the idea that celebrating birthdays and observing Monther's day was equivalent to "creature worship" (This is even more stupid.)

I thought the only grounds for divorce was that my JDub husband was committing adultery with two witnesses present. ( This tops them all. I'll stop here.)

What Did YOU Do At A Typical Witness "Get-Together"?

Geez, you're bringing back some memories.

Let's see, aside from the typical: baby showers, wedding showers, graduation parties, Going-away-to-Bethel Parties I would say there was some group dancing to country music and your mandatory small talk. Oh, the highlight of these gatherings was the group prayer followed by a pot luck feast....those were the days.

The child will not be able to legally get married until 9 more years in most states. This horrible religion is going to expect him to treat his "commitment" as more important than marriage.(?) There's some twisted reasoning in there somewhere. Tell the parents if you can, that he is much too young. At least Jesus was in his 30's what is the rush?? And this from a group of zealots who claim Catholic infant baptism is wrong....

I can't sleep

for the longest time now, i can't sleep at night.

i've worked so many years at night and now that i have a daytime job, i can't seem to sleep at night.

i've tried sleep aid pills, but the sleep feels artificial and i don't wake up rested.. what to do?.

Latino Dancing!

i've started going to dance classes four weeks ago but had to skip two.

tonight i went again.

i thought it will be a pain in butt to get back into routine, in fact didn't even feel like going, was feeling kinda low on fuel for few reasons but went anyway.. i've got really great couple of dance instructors.

Don't Quite Know What To Make of This

i had my kids last weekend, and they seemed hapy, and content.

i called a couple of times earlier this week as usual, to see how they are doing, and got the answering machine.

no mystery there.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already. The basic problem here is communication. She can move in with her mom and you don't have a problem with that but she failed to give you prior notice. Does your ex wife or your children with her have cell phones? e-mail addresses? Maybe you just need to go ahead and call your ex wife's mother and demand a reason for why you were not told of the move. Without doing that, you haven't exhausted all the means to communicate with your kids. At least ask to speak with them and find out if they are Ok with adjusting to the move. Also be sure to make arrangements for the next weekend they are to stay with you. Just some thoughts.
