  been out now for 10 yrs but life is a mess.

  starting to think its because i have no spiritual compass.

  why shouldn't i consider going back?.

  If you need to be babied with your life, have people telling you what to believe vs spiritual freedom, if you are unable to get your life in order on it's own or meet people, if you love the controlling and worship the gb insist upon, then by all means go right on back.

  I like the followup's through the years to the quote pixel posted. The "faithful slave" published that 1974 KM, but over the years the articles have said, "Jehovah's Witnesses (meaning the RANK AND FILE) in the past were over zealous and took it upon themselves to sell their homes." Or "Jehovah's Witnesses (again meaning Rank and File) in a desire for the end to come quickly have jumped ahead and tried to figure the date when the end would come", etc.

  Don't you just love how anytime a prediction, revelation, or anything is ever published in the literature it's credited the governing body and faithful slave, yet anytime there is an acknowledged obvious error, wrong, etc, it's blamed on 'jehovah's witnesses'.

  White marine beaten by group of black men using Fergusen case as excuse, media won't say 'black men' though.

  this pisses me off, after all the news agencies that point out that things such as the ferguson shooting were a white man killing a black "kid" (18 years old and if an 18 yr old is accused of commiting a sex crime then suddenly they are a "grown man").

  now look at this story from ny times, "a 32-year-old marine was beaten by a group of men outside of a mississippi restaurant after he was warned it wasn't safe for white people in the wake of the michael brown killing in missouri," .

  so black on white crime, i guess they can't say "a group of black men", it just has to be a group of men?

  Ragingbull - I know and agree that there are parts of the south that may be dangerous for black men. Just like some black neighborhoods may be dangerous for white men. On a broad scale though, just based on these cases that make media headlines, and the disproportionate amount of blacks who are poor and did not finish highschool, as well as input from black friends, one of the biggest issues keeping the black community down seems to be the prevailing idea and criticism that any black person who tries to advance themselves, do good in school, go to college, speak with proper grammar is being 'too white'. I even had a gf at one point who was fully black but had a light skin tone and she told me all sorts of stories on how she was discriminated by blacks for looking too white and then w/ education/advancement, acting too white.

  As for police profiling and pulling over, I believe it's based on crime and not color. I had driven through a 'black neighborhood' several times before because of my work. Sometimes I would pull over or park on the side of the street to look at a map, etc, it didn't matter anywhere in that large section of the city, if I was parked on the side of the road, out of nowhere some drug dealer would be knocking on my window or trying to get my attention from out of nowhere. One evening I'm driving through, hadn't stopped at any point, and I get pulled over. I'm not black, but was asked questions, etc. I was respectful and on my way a few minutes later.

  Anytime I get pulled over, if it's night I turn on my dome light, I turn off the car and take keys out of ignition, and put both hands on the steering wheel. As the cop approaches the car, I always see their hand on the gun holster and cautiously walking up. They knock on window and I slowly move my hands to open it. They don't know if I have a gun, nor anybody they pull over and if they may get shot, so by doing those things you put their mind at ease. I say yes sir, yes maam when answering questions. More than 1/2 the time I've been pulled over, if speeding a little, stop sign, etc, they let me off with a warning.

  With police, when people get loud, confrontational, or resisting arrest, they are inviting brutality and putting their lives in risk. In cities where cops have been killed, they are even more apprehensive.

  Now one recent case, the New York black man who was killed because of a chokehold, true it may not have happened if he didn't resist arrest, but the police were very clearly in the wrong and there was absolutely no reason for what happened. He was trying to be respectful when he was talking to the police even though he was upset and loud.

  But can anybody show a case when the person followed the officers instructions, wasn't threatening, and still got beat up or killed? And can anybody show me a case where a person resisted arrest and police ended up letting them go home? It's best to just go along with it because once they decide to arrest you, you are going, whether you go willingly, carried in, or in a bodybag. After they arrest you, it's out of that officers hands, then you can fight in the court.

  Wow, never heard that story before wolfman.

  It's crazy that kids can't drive until they are 15 or 16, drink until 21, but the law lets them handle and shoot uzi's with no age limit? So far an 8yr old and 9yr old both resulting in deaths, I wonder if any younger ones just hadn't happened yet.

  As you can see in the story, about 20 'black men' attacked the 2 'white men' and the police have said, like usual, " "This does not appear to be a hate crime," West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley.

  Yes it is a hate crime. I guess reporting and charging like the truth they are worried they'll be another chimp out?

  so many people say faith is a virtue but i just can't comprehend why anyone would think that.

  Whether faith is immoral is sujective to the results of that faith.

  A person who has faith that putting others needs ahead of their own and sacrificing some opportunities in their life for helping others will result in a better future or afterlife for them, that isn't immoral. (immoral is also subjective though to each individuals viewpoints).

  Now take ISIS, they have 'faith' (if they really believe) or just using it as an excuse, that murdering non believers of their cult will give them a good afterlife is immoral.

  i work repatative in the morning so get 3-4 hours of courses,.

  one done today on the philosephy of death made a point.. if you lived 300 years you might might still remember childhood.. 500 year childhood might be gone and by then you are not the same person you were at 50. in fat you might not even rmembe you were that person!.

  I'd love to live forever, but either as spirit or if human then with star trek technology and infinite other planets to live in and explore. This planet is small after you have traveled all over.

  O and another response to OP's post, so do you wish you were dead right now? Are you upset that the person you were when you were 3 years old, 6 years old, 10, 15, 20, etc, are all long gone?

  We also only use a fraction of our brain, there is a man who has remembered EVERY day of his life and if given any day he can tell you what occured that day. (forgot the name but I'm sure google can find it quickly if you are interested).
