I remember my first el-duhs meeting with the CO. I was expecting to get the real shit!!
Was a letdown.
first some context to this post.
historically the elders meeting with the circuit overseer has had the following format : outline for meeting including ministerial servants then, after they have been dismissed, discussion of local issues.
the last visit there was an additional outline for the elders only, the notorious "gender blurring" discussion.. you might wonder what is being discussed this time round, so here you are:.
I remember my first el-duhs meeting with the CO. I was expecting to get the real shit!!
Was a letdown.
it occurred to me while at today's wt study that over 100 people were wasting an hour of their life studiously examining the differences between two delusions, paradise earth and the heavenly hope.
everyone made it sound so serious when in reality it means nothing at all.
either choice is wrong and foolish nonsense.. it was mentioned that mark sanderson found his heavenly calling at very young age.
l know l would.anyone that says no is kidding themselves.just imagine going up to the hole of a cobra and patting it on the head like a pet.or running like a deer through the woods.who knows we might grows wings and be able to fly as well.food for thought.
And live with the constant threat of execution over your head 24/7? No thanks.
The problem with paradise earth as taught by JWs is that the second free will is exercised outside of the rules, you will be killed. Not really paradise in my opinion.
to all congregations.
re: new songs for memorial.
dear brothers:.
New songs? Haha not 10 percent of JWs are gonna study up on they music, lyrics or anything else.
Will be interesting to hear the reports back on how horrible the singing was on Meh-morial night.
i hope i added this topic so everyone could read & comment.
i was just thinking, since this arc thing, does anyone here know any one in australia, that knows about the arc or how it's affecting the jw's there.
i used to go to a site that had a really nice person who is a jw, he never argued or debated, never sent back hateful comments, & he lives in australia.
Brenton puts the not so bad spin on it here:

Im wondering though, about the list at the bottom of the article, here's the summary -- why in the world would the branch have reports on Non family non witness perps, the next line is questionable as well. Family, non witness would be UBM mainly I suppose. Why would WTS have records on many of these? Anyone know where this info was actually from?
Perpetrators
Non family, non Witness - - - - - - - - - - - - - 199 reports
Family, non Witness - - - - - --- - - - 470 reports
Elders; where victims were family and or non family - - - - - 18
Ministerial Servants; where victims were family and or non family - 32
Parishioners; where victims were family and or non family - - - - 287 reports
TOTAL - - - - - - - - - 1006 reports
yep, that's what my good friend said at yesterday's wt study.
wished she would have actually said borg...
so i have been watching the arc videos on youtube with geoffrey jackass, er i mean, jackson and a couple of very powerful things struck me.. forgive me if these have been covered before but...did anyone else notice he says several times that the gb are the "guardians of doctrine?
" haha g.o.d.
do we really have any further need for witnesses!?
where he is directly asked if the GB see's themselves as God's spokesman on Earth and he blatantly lies and says that would be presumptuous of us.....
That too struck me as the lowest point to which these guys will stoop. I pointed out on a thread recently that I found it similar to Peter's denial that he was with Jesus. I mean, if he truly believed lives were at stake, he would have used that opportunity to forcefully tell the world right then and there that they better follow the supposed faithful and discreet slave if they were to save their life. Instead, he ducked and dodged.
Another poster rightfully pointed out that Peter wept bitterly after his denial. Something I doubt GJack did on the plane ride back to NYC
i haven't posted anything for a bit, but wanted to express how i am losing this battle.
it has been over 3 years now since i woke up about watchtower.
the battle that i am talking about is the tug of war with my wife (i adore her immensely), watchtower is winning, she simply will not give in to my so-called negative thoughts about the religion that we are in.
Two choices.
Accept her and it for what it is, and that she will never ever leave.
Leave her and rebuild your life.
what is it about making friends in the organisation am i the only one who had found it tough?
don't get me wrong there was some good people but unfortunately there was also a lot of egotism, back stabbing, jealousy and gossiping.
i could never really fit in any group, everytime i thought i had found a group it was as if i would be sidelined or ditched.
The reason you cannot have real friends in that religion is because they will become your enemy at a moments notice. They think you've "sinned", whether you have or not...they will turn your ass into the elders in a New York second.
If your name comes up at the meeting as "no longer a Jehobo's Witness" they will never speak to you again. You can't develop real and trusting relationships when there is that kind of tension permeating everything surrounding you.
hi, i am a christian and i would like to know jehovas witness's belief in god and whether you believe jesus is god.
please, any statements back up with biblical verses, thank you and god bless, in jesus's name.. i am new on here, so please be patient with me :).
Regular JWs aren't allowed to freely express themselves, they are in a cult. You can't question or oppose official doctrine.
If you want a real JW, you can try JWtalk.com, or Topix seems to have more active JWs. Or you can call the local Kingdom hall in your area and invite one over. I'd hesitate before doing that, they will pester you until you say not to come around anymore.
