NYC Memorial Speaker Removed From Stage - Can Anyone Confirm/Deny?

back in the late 80's, a former bethelite told me a story about an incident in new york, at least i assume that is where it happened.

i dont believe he was actually in attendance, but was relaying what had happened at some other hall.

don't remember all of the details of the story, but here are the basics.. some speaker was giving the memorial talk, and started going into the part about the bread and the wine being emblems of christ.

according to the details posted by ynot the brazen conduct wording is explained this way:.

you will note in chapter 5, paragraph 9, of the shepherding textbook that a change in terminology is being introduced.

a new term, "brazen conduct," will be used in addition to " loose conduct," or in some cases instead of "loose conduct.

Weird Prayer at Last Year's DC - GB Worship

at the last dc i will ever attend in 09' some elder was called up to do the morning prayer.

i dont recall him being introduced as a co or anything thats why i say elder.. he starts off slowly and 20 seconds in i realize this is his moment of glory, giving a prayer at the dc and he is going to take his sweet time.

i know the closing prayers are like at least 5 or 10 minutes, but this guy is going to kick off the morning with a long rambling diatribe..... so part way in he gets to the "slave" and he starts naming them off one by one.....ya know thanks for splane, pierce, barr, loesch....so on and so on....til he gets through them all.

how do you overcome this?

i just got done reading isocf and toward the end ray warns against bitterness.

i guess i just can't agree with that.

the wt isnt alone...i didn't realize how many nut jobs use this math to forward their prophetic agendas.

Who Will You Watch - Jay, Conan, Dave, or Jimmy?

assuming conan gets a new show on fox, who will you watch and why?.

personally, i'm with conan, love his style, his comedy, etc.

i like jay too, so probably him next, even though i think he deserves much of the blame for this deal.. then jimmy for me, though he gets a bit stale at times.. then dave, i used to love him back when he was at nbc, but now i cant watch him at all......

i dont really care about this anymore, just found it interesting they tried to justify their lunar vs solar year hopscotch math.

read through it a few times but its just giving me a big fat headache..... .

no not about the blood issue, though i would say yes to that.. what i'm talking about is in regard to the preaching work.

i recently commented on a thread that i thought field service was an inconvenient necessity when you are a witness.

many active ones probably feel the same way today, as it is their ticket to paradise earth.
