kk, i've had a small plantar's wart on the bottom of my big toe for a looooooong time.. recently, it started getting bigger and more painful.
i googled, and found a home remedy consisting of placing apple cider vinegar soaked cotton balls on the wart and covering it in duct tape.. can i just say......this f**cking hurts!!!!!.
it's been almost a week, and it's turned black which means (i think.....i hope) that it's working.. extremely painful.....can barely walk....it throbs constantly....i have to get up in the night and deal with it.. anyone?.
I had one on the bottom of my foot and it took several doctor's treatment to get rid of it. The doctor was opposed to cutting it out. Yes it was painful. Excellent Ferris reference. Have you seen Matthew Broderick's Honda CR-V commercial?

whether you love or hate fb, its interesting to consider how much of a problem it is for the wt.

Facebook has been great to me. I have reconnected with my cousins who are all DF, once in a while contact a cousin who is still in, for how long I don't know, but I will be there if needed. I have one high school friend who is still in and a couple of other friends/family who are out.
I guess you can say I am a cyberstalker sometimes on there, I check on others. But hey, if they didn't want people to know stuff they would keep their account private and I couldn't see anything.
I feel so much more connected since I found some family who will have something to do with me and I have Facebook to thank for it. That is why I feel Facebook is the WT biggest enemy. DF people are no longer out in the cold all alone. We can reconnect with each other and support each other.

so i'm in my mid 30s and about to have a birthday next month.
was putting together a very modest wish list and just broke down crying.
i was in tears.
Yesterday was my oldest 19th B-day. He has always had birthday wishes and presents and parties. My son went to see his grandmothers on Saturday. One because she wanted to see him for his birthday and my mother, just to see her. She didn't remember it was his birthday. I wonder if she remembers mine. My first B-day party was the one I threw for myself when I turned 25.

for the record i forced the hand of the jw and they df'd me.
i didn't care and i still don't, except for the family thing.
Funny thing happened yesterday. One of the guys at my job came in with some paperwork for me and he tried to give me a bible tract, not JW. I told him no religon on work time. I also said I was an ex JW and I did not discuss religon anymore. He got very excited at this. Turns out his brother has been a JW for the last 20 some years and he has been trying to get him out for all this time. So I shared this website and Ray Franz's book information with him. I think I just became his new best friend. So yeah, I did discuss religon at work.

I have worked with one and made sure I didn't let him know. I didn't want the hassle of him not supposed to talk with me. There are about 2000 employees where I work and they send out death notices when we have a close family member die. My father died a year ago and I didn't disclose that his memorial service was going to be at the KH so anyone who is a JW would know either I am or was. However, I did find another ex JW in the same office that I work out of. Actually, he worked with my father way back in the 80's and didn't know that he was JW, too. But then my father was DF at that time for smoking. And I moved an hour away from where I grew up!

I moved away from my parents house when I was 22, actually moved about an hour and half away. For the first time I had some freedoms, went to R rated movies, read the books I wanted to. When I moved back to my hometown I started to try to fade but my mother would have none of that. So I DAd myself. I had been working at the same fast food restaurant for 5 years and had formed some close friendships. They saw me through. With in two years I was married and a mother. Eight more years, divorced, but happy. Not going back, not happening.
i found 3 of my cousins who are not jw's on facebook and i have friend requested them and two of them have accepted so far.

Congrats! I found mine about a year ago after my father died. I am at least 7 years older than they are. I left when I was 25 and between my 2 cousins and 2 step cousins, they were all DFd within a week when they were 19-16. Facebook is great but I wish it hadn't taken this long.
lately i have been thinking about saying something apostate to my elder father in law.
he is an uber witness and actually believed that god interveined and saved him when he had a heart attack and kept him alive, until he told me that and i asked him why jehovah allowed jws in nazi concentration camps to suffer horribly and die but he loved an alcoholic more than them.. i havent been to a kh in 6 months or in service in years.
i grew a beard and basicallyhe avoids talking to me.
I DA'd back in 1990. I don't regret it for a moment. I told them to take a hike, they didn't tell me. You will get the same guilt trip from the family, I do if I communicate with them. I do feel bad because my mother is 70 but she always starts crying and saying how hard it is on her since I left, do I think I will ever come back, etc. So since that mentally diseased article in July, I said screw it, I have tried. She has my number and my son's, who wasn't ever a JW, if she needs something.

and for those still "in" but mentally "out" what have you started doing thats against the silly, stupid and non-scriptural watchtower policy/law/rule??.
