i have a question.

as i was reading the "shepherd the flock" book 12:8 (boy do i think that's stupid) i saw that an elder has to make sure he can officate at a wedding.. who determines whether he is qualified to do that?

they aren't recognized by any other authority to be ministers.. .

@Designs... I was just wondering if that makes the wedding legally official. It would be a sad thing if all the JW weddings were not legal

What made you start questioning: people or doctrine?

let us know what got you questioning wbts in the first place.

i've got a theory that it starts with people hurting us and only then does the "apostate" turn to looking at the beliefs.. anybody who started questioning beliefs first?.

For me it was the people first. That led to me to question how people could profess to love God treat people in such a harsh way. Then the doctrine just strarted to unravel it all..

The letter re: coil binding the elder book

i think if an (intelligent) questioning jw was able to read the letter about coil binding the book the impact could/should be greater.

this letter should be an embarrassment to the gb.

what blatant and stupid instructions sent to a large group of men who are supposed to be available to instruct in an intelligent way persons coming with an assortment of life's problems.

while an earlier version was made available privately the time has come to 'progress'.. conscious class and ex both strongly adhere to not keeping things 'hidden' in regards to wts publications, talks and documents which are circulated in order to maintain it's position.. another wonderful poster (who has yet to give me permission to name) has 'reduced' and 'bookmarked' the first full copy link i was given by our 'winner'.. in this newest and final 'clean' copy link you find two other additions besides the reduction/bookmarking..... the brother who uploaded the entire book wishes all to have a copy that includes both boe ltrs (pre-ks ltr and spiral binding ltr).

also another development has occurred.... the brother responsible for this book being brought into light and put forth for public consumption and discussion has requested i post this letter explaining to 'us' (jwn posters/global audience) and 'them' (wts of penn & ny).. i ask you give attention to his words/ experiences as he is representative of a newly emerging demographic within the conscious class.

in helping a fading friend of mine do some research on prov 6:16-19 about the 7 things destestable to jehovah, i came across this article.

i thought it interesting that they used the footnotes to try and stop the talk about the gb.

what about how they treat people who have left the organzation?

Dont I know it fokyc...My dad is an elder and is the biggest gossiper I know. Pllus he has said some very untrue things about me.
