I still don't get why handling microphones you had to have male genitals. It's a service role, right?

by Scott77 inafter reading this internet link below about the profoundly shocking, sadening and traumatic account of mary aguilar, an ex-jw woman's systematic treatment and abuse, what do you think regarding the action her jw abusive husband, the congregational elders, and finally, the wts attitude when she finally reported the accident to them?
is there any related experienes that you might have come across?.

I think we understand each other, Tammy.
I'm not sure what Scott's sighs mean though.

Yes, but they will need a plan and people to support their plan on the outside. Help with the kids and such.
Exactly. And it's only once she ditches the victim mindset that she will be able to make a plan.

Tammy, I haven't been there physically but I have been there emotionally. And I believe that hearing people take a hard stance and saying "Get out of there, you deserve more than this" can only be helpful to your self-esteem in the long term.
I recall when four separate and completely unrelated friends said, AFTER I left an emotionally abusive relationship, "I couldn't understand why you stayed with him". My overwhelming feeling was "Why didn't you say that to me at the time? It would have helped."
So to women in any kind of abusive relationship ...... JUST LEAVE!
DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO! Just don't go back to him.
And to those of you who see people you know in unequal or abusive relationships, please speak out. Speak to her mainly, and if you have the courage, speak to him.

What do you say, if someone asks if you go to church?
by Bonnie_Clyde inclyde has a great answer.
he says, "no, i take my faith too seriously.
" he says that ends the conversation.

Many funny responses on this thread but this from Darth Plaugeis wins so far......
I ask if they swallow (man or girl).... by then they forgot their question.
I don't tend to hang out with people who ask me if I go to church. Maybe I know how to choose my friends.
But if someone had to ask me I'd say I'm open to going to church as a cultural event, what do they have to offer? If it sounds interesting I'll go, for the experience.

As long as humans continue to live where the earth's plates shift, and as long as we have instant electronic communication about these shifts, called "earthquakes", reports of earthquakes will be many.

I'm afraid there IS such a thing as victim mentality.
If a stranger pounces at you on the street and takes your purse, that's one thing. If you keep going back again and again and again to a man WHOSE BEHAVIOR YOU KNOW AND CAN PREDICT, well that's your choice. "Poor me" doesn't work for me.
Predictable comments about how insensitive my views are just serve to perpetuate this kind of cycle.
