  minimus has show himself to be a person of spectacular, virtual "overnight" success, but we all know this is a result of rigorous daily effort and a pathologically high level of self-esteem.. i crave the same rewards - sex, drugs, rock n' roll - that minimus has enjoyed, and to obtain them i am willing to cast off my previously humble reserved nature and indulge in blatant self-aggrandizement.

  thats atleast 10 years..i am dealing with the lil ones and knock knock...i open the door to find a witness at the door all pretty and smiles... told her to hold on one second and made the dog quite down..she started her spill and i was like ..don't mean to be rude but born and raised a jw.

  ..so first words are ?

  ?...wait all at once...are you dfed ?...nope i just choose not to go..asked my name a couple times and encouraged me to come to meetings.

  a long time ago my husband came up with this.. the wtbts holds out our hope like a carrot on the end of a stick, and we should be motivated to all ways want and try to get it.

  if you change you mind in anyway and no longer want the carrot, or just wanna stand and eat the grass, you then will be beaten by the stick.. .

  A far cry from: Yeah, they left for an unknown reason then came back.

  Well, it seems it's not far-fetched after all, so I apologize for my initial over-reaction.

  Josephus himself reports that Cestius Gallus retreated for no known reason:

  Tishri 27-29; November 14-16	Cestius attacks and pursues the rebels to Jerusalem. He pitches camp on Mount Scopus for three days to collect food from local villages. (2.19.4 527-528)
  Tishri 30; November 17	Cestius advances on Jerusalem. He sets fire to to suburban districts, then moves to the wall of the upper city and pitches camp in the vicinity of the royal palace. (2.19.4 528-530)
  	The principal pro-Roman men of Jerusalem invite Cestius into the city, but he delays. The rebels attack the pro-peace faction and murder their leaders, then bombard the Romans from the wall. After five days, the Romans, heavily shielded, are on the verge of undermining the wall and setting fire to the gate of the Temple. (2.19.5)
  Heshvan 5; November 22	Cestius suddenly gives up and retreats from the city "without any reason in the world." [2.19.7 540] Josephus: "It was, I suppose, owing to the aversion God had already toward the city and the sanctuary that He delayed from putting an end to the war that very day." [2.19.6 539]
  Heshvan 6-7; November 23-24	As Cestius retreats to Scopus and then to Gabaon he is pursued by the rebels, who devastate his army's flanks and rear and force the Romans to abandon most of their baggage train. Cestius halts at Gabao for two days to plan.

  I'm starting to wonder WHAT HISTORY WRITTEN FOR JWS IS ACCURATE???

  So if I got this write in 66 BCE, the Florus stole silver from the temple, enraged the Jews and resulted in a Jews killed a small Roman garrison in Jerusalem. The Romans then sent a larger force, but the Jewish fought them off as well. Then Rome sent 60,000 soldiers to fight off the insurgents in the most radical state (insurgents lost), the refugees and insurgent leadership fled to Jerusalem, started a Jewish civil war in Jerusalem, while Rome turned on Jerusalem, and finally destroyed it in 70 CE.

  A far cry from: Yeah, they left for an unknown reason then came back.

  do you think that it is possible that one of the new boys might actually grow a pair of balls and stand up for what is true and reject what is false?.

  there are so many doctrines that time has annulled.

  while an earlier version was made available privately the time has come to 'progress'.. conscious class and ex both strongly adhere to not keeping things 'hidden' in regards to wts publications, talks and documents which are circulated in order to maintain it's position.. another wonderful poster (who has yet to give me permission to name) has 'reduced' and 'bookmarked' the first full copy link i was given by our 'winner'.. in this newest and final 'clean' copy link you find two other additions besides the reduction/bookmarking..... the brother who uploaded the entire book wishes all to have a copy that includes both boe ltrs (pre-ks ltr and spiral binding ltr).

  also another development has occurred.... the brother responsible for this book being brought into light and put forth for public consumption and discussion has requested i post this letter explaining to 'us' (jwn posters/global audience) and 'them' (wts of penn & ny).. i ask you give attention to his words/ experiences as he is representative of a newly emerging demographic within the conscious class.

  that is one part of the new ks 10 that is crazy... i don't have the bbs skills to paste the exact words, but.... .

  we all have heard that if you are an elder (or ms, i guess) if you have a serious sin, including adultery, come to light "a few years ago, or a number of years ago" you can get a free pass and remain an elder basically as long as no one else knows?

  or you "maintain the respect of the cong" or you years of service show that jehovah has forgiven you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
