Never mind, I just called the Bethel and after a little avoidance dance they said no.

Best "wake-up-call"-arguments?!
by Mr Fool inhi everyone .
it was not my intention to write here anymore, but i found things that caught my interest, things that i feel to share in the hope of someone finds it interesting.. the core is that the wt surprisingly admits that what "we" believe in, is after all, only opinions (awake 2000 june 22 page9-11 "do not be a victim of propaganda).. anyone with a scan of thiese pages would make my day ;-) the questions/arguments below are built around this:.
feel free to find better arguments ;-).

It's OK, I was just joking ...
Also I actually like when people disagree with me, it helps me to look at things from different angles, what I really don't like is when people answer without actually reading the posts carefully first.

You certainly can read the first two sentences and then ask: "Does the organization teaches you HOW to think or WHAT to think?" They may not answer but, hopefully, they'll get the point.
DATA-DOG Just because somebody calls me dick doesn't mean I'm a guy (he), Hortenzie is a girl's name and that person was really insulting. Furthermore, we all know that JWs use propagaga, that wasn't the point. Read his 1st post. He was trying to use their quotation against them without considering the intent and context.

Dear Vindico, I'll ignore your insult and just answer your question. I tried to show Mr. Fool that his reasoning cannot be used as he suggested and point out the reasons why. Just read carefully all my posts (using the English dictionary if you have to) and think about it.
Mr. Fool, if I remember correctly, the Propaganda magazine had a serie of three articles in a row. I'm not sure if you read them all, if not you might want to read them all to get the full picture.
And don't get mad at me, I would love to use that "it's all just an opinion" reasoning but that's not what they meant. And most JWs would see it and certainly point that out. Even those not-too-smart ones would instinctively know that's not what the org. meant so this reasoning wouldn't be effective.

Sorry, Mr. Fool, I was trying to be as clear as possible (maybe over did it a bit). I don't want to argue with you about words and this post is getting boring so I'm done with it. If you really want to know what I said just re-read it and think about it a bit before you pick a clatifying side point in parenthesis to argue about.
And, please, by all means use your out of context, misapplied quote, I really don't care if you end up looking like a fool.

A mormon pm's me
by paranoia agent injust read your thread about oblivion to oblivion, watched the video you posted and wondered if you'd be willing to let me send you some videos on the book of mormon.
as you may know, i'm lds and i believe there's substantial evidence for the historicity of the book.
but i'm also aware there's evidence and proof.

I don't see anything wrong with the Mormon's PM. Just one person expressing his opinion to someone else who he thought might be interested. We all do it all the time. Maybe his opinion is not appreciated here, so what.
And what Rip said.

I like the idea about trying to find a more challenging position within your company. See what the options are and then work toward fulfilling the requirements.

Find and interesting hobby, read educational books about subjects that interest you, do something creative, do something helpful for other human beings (volunteer work with your family), take an online course, join a sport club (with your family)... If you are not motivated and feel you might be depressed visit a doctor or go for counseling...
And remember to count your blessings (think of the endless millions of people who wish for life like yours) and that just talking about it with strangers on the Internet will not help (maybe talk to your wife, family, friends, who know you and may have helpful suggestions).
Good luck! I hope you feel better soon.
(I, personally, do manual work (run letter processing machine) but keep my brain always busy - I read intresting books (history, religion, philosophy, travel...) during my breaks and then think about it when I work - and the time flies. P.S. I'm in it for the money and the benefits).

You said: " The core is that the Wt surprisingly admits that what "we" believe in, is after all, only opinions". Get it through your head, they are not admitting anything, they are telling YOU, that your believes (if you are not a JW) are just an opinion and YOU would do well to examine them and accept the truth from the Bible as they teach it.
I'm not saying you are wrong about their believes being just another opinion, but you cannot use that excerpt to prove your point because it is taken out of context. And if you try it on JWs they will think you are a fool. . (This was an Awake! for the public not a WT study article).
