Looking for a BOE letter...

we had an elder visit my husband this weekend and he said that the wts has given the elders new direction on the handling of child molestation but that he could not tell us what it said because it was confidential.

i'm sure someone has posted this and it is probably more bs.

i told my husband they tell the elders it is cofidential because it gives the elders a sense of power knowing they have info that the rank & file don't have.

Oh, and the response my husband got from the WTS after his 3rd letter to them asking why his dad is not DFed was something to the effect of Let it go, forget about the past, and let the local elders study with you

I know you've been working on this for a long time, my comment was rhetorical, & for others who might read this post. Their continued arrogance is disgusting, & the ways they are trying to cover their asses are disgusting.

well, my husband found out about my affair (yes, i gave in to the temptation with the soccer player and while it was fantastic, it's over now) and it's been a devestating time, we almost got divorced, but we're working through it.

i knew telling friends and this board wasn't going to help me fight his romantic advances, but i tried.

it was a one time thing that would have continued, but i wasn't too careful about the clues (guilty conscience i think).

First off, the idea of monogamy is mainly a christian one

I for one was always confused by how much fundy christianity, & jw's take from the old testament, all except the polygamy. I mean, hey, lookit good ol' abraham, his wife foisted off her servant girl on him. And what about the kings of israel? Not just marriages for alliances, etc, but what about all the concubines? So why is it that everyone looks at htis as such a basic concept, aholy concept in christianity when it is really relatively recent concept, biblically speaking? Why is it such a big deal?

came the reply,from the bethel after i had been victimized by the body of elders from my old congregation ,there was a congregational war going on within the congregation ,because i knew of the bent buisness dealings of the presiding overseer ,he then had the body of elders all except one of the elders whom had a verbal stand up fight for me ,wherby the elders familys & congregation ostracize my family as the presiding overseer used the platform to exact vengance against me,& they completed an inquisition against me,trying to dissfellowship me & shut me up permanantly because i new & saw to much concerning his bent & corrupt dealings in second hand cars.. joe little of ( st mildreds garage catford brownhill road catford london se13 ) therfore dont any one of you buy a second hand vehicle from him as it may end up with chassis numbers, ground out or it may be write of or damaged repaired) .

Also, you should take what you know about this slimebag to the legal authorities, and if he is convicted, chances are he will at least be reproved, probably df'd, & then it'll be pretty hard to say you were wrong, also this protects you from what i was talking about, or at least helps if anything were to happen to you.

the whole corrupt body of elders would have killed myself & my family if they had there way

Not as far-fetched as it might seem. I know of at least one corrupt body of elders that cut the brake lines to a lady's car, they did this to try to cover up that they had ripped her off for a significant amt. of money.

What Did You Hate About The Circuit OV.'s Visit?

i think that there a number of things about the circuit overseer's visit that stinks!

one thing that i hated was how all the elders got together to "shepherd" the flock right before the co's visit.....what bothered you about the week long visit??

I really hated having their personal idiosyncrasies foisted on us as if they were straight outta the bible. Like one guy, Rainer I think it was, had a problem w/ gum. So gum was banned at our hall during his visits, as Bro. Rainer "did'nt like it". He even used scriptures to back up his hate of gum chewing. Ane then there was loud bro. Baxter. Lot's of idiosyncrasies, but a crack up as a speaker.

I like cry to heaven, in spite of all the homo erotic stuff( I don't have a prob w/ it, it just does'nt float my boat). Irongland I agree w/ you, tlae of the body thief downright sucked. Anne Rice is f***ing fantasic when she is "on". But she can be pretty bad, as well.

Incidentally, I would have cast peter steele from type-o-negative as lestat in the new movie if I knew he could act. He looks & sounds like vampire

,personaly i cant understand it,i know people can be racist against culture,but colour ,come of it.

,jesus was brown ,mosess was black he had to be living in egypt ,have angels got a colour if not why not ,dont be afraid to answer as i wont hold it against you if you dont ,me i have great friends from all nationalitys .have you transended from the obligitory type cast person that you were born has your life been enriched by meeting someone of another culture, i know we have been richly rewarded.

Not that it matters ( it does'nt) But what with all the ethnic migration we've had, we'll never know. It says in the bible that king david was "ruddy" possibly even redheaded. An ancestor of JC. What does that mean? Exactly nothing. I have Jewish "genes" & even more celtic & scandinavian "genes" But, I have that steretypical Jewish look, dark skin, hook nose, etc. My dad looked a lot like Mandy patinkin, another Russian Jew. I've also known people of "jewish" descent w/ straight blond hair & tiny noses. Yaphet Koto, the actor from the old homicide series is jewish, & very black. But, it does'nt matter. Maybe he was purple. There were people on the american continents that bear little to no resemlance to todays native americans, & I would imagine todays racial characteristics are a comparitively recent thing. If we were to go back in time, we wouldnt recognize anyones "race". Here is a for instance. For many years, everyone thought that australias natves were most closely related to africans, based on appearances. Turns out, genetically, they are much more closely related to "asian" stock. But, again, this is often brought up for silly reasons, it does'nt matter in the least.

just popped back in to tell you some gossip.

yesterday a freind to the exjw community decided to drop a couple of our little cards "the tuth about the wt" in appropriate places, anyway an angry jw saw it and smashed the windows of the freind...and got caught on camera doing it....baaawl...its all in the hands of the solicitors.

the angry jw then phoned the helpline number on the card with this really makes sense message "i just want to call you an apostate, thats all i want to call you.
