On the other side of the coin, much effort is put forth to deny a higher power to rid themselves of any responsibility of moral worth...........Most fundies would agree with that. However, one has to assume that the belief in the existence of some higher diety is necessary in order for a human being to appreciate the concept of morality. I'm not sure that one can assume that.

Friends help friends, brothers help brothers. May I ask, what are the Arab Governments of Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait doing to help their own? Are they sending military help, are they openly supporting the Palestinian cause? Are they FIGHTING for the Palestinians? Where are their armies? Why are their armies not helping the Palestinians?My guess would be, that for all intents and purposes, that the Arab community of nations realizes that they would also have to fight the US military if they were to lend military support to the Palestinians in their struggles with Israel.Please, I am longing for an answer on this issue.

Additionally, in order to have NGO status, the applicant must agree to uphold and promote the ideals and interests of the UN. This is what makes the WTBTS so hypocritical, considering what's contained in WTS publications concerning the UN

to be taught not to criticise or analyse what you are being told, to be taught not to think for one self and to be taught that information can only come from one source, to be taught not to listen to the reasoned argument of people with other beliefs should surely set alarm bells ringing.. especially when this source has proved to be unreliable through decades of changing doctrine.. what will it take for people to realise?

What you're referring to as "major doctrinal changes" were actually quite MINOR when placed up beside the 1914 doctrine.It really depends on how you look at it. I don't think that the change regarding organ transplants would be considered "quite minor" to families who lost loved ones due to the Society's position before transplants were allowed. Or, how about those who spent time in prison before JWs had the option of choosing "alternative service"?
