Secret sex in the Org

2 pioneers of the opposite sex.

the brother is in his mid-20s, sister is in her late 20s.

both are alone in car as the only 2 out in field service.

Edmonton Alberta congregation mid 1990’s. Two mid 20’s couples best friends , elders kids swapped spouses for a few months. One of the men was working his rotation in the oil patch and his wife needed some help at the house so she called his friend. That’s where it all started. The innocent spouse suspected they were having an affair so she followed her husband. She caught her best friend giving her husband a bj in a parked car in the Safeway parking lot.

The innocent wife then started pursuing the innocent husband and they had a fling for a few months.

They all got divorced and found different people. None of them are jws today

Edmonton Alberta congregation 2017. Five buck naked jws are driving in a car and kidnap 3 other jws.

charges of assault and kidnaping have been laid against one of the female jws. Not sex related but funny as f*@k!

1975... the year that keeps on giving.

so i recently moved back to my really really really small hometown in the south.

it was the place that my parents moved to from a major city up north in the early 1970's.

when we lived here times were very tough financially and i was always told that the reason we did not attend meetings was due to the fact that we had no car / no gas for the car / could not afford repairs for the years we were there.

I lived through the 1975 shit show as a child. My mom still denies to this day that the watchtower promoted the date.

I know some need greaters moved to our congregation from Edmonton before 75. One family got disgruntled and left in 76. I still remember the father coming to our house and telling my parents how it was a sham. I wish they would have listened to the man.

The whole 1975 move to some backwoods town had a huge impact on peoples lives

School inspection is just like a CO visit.

so our school has just had the school inspectors in, looking and observing lessons.

the similarities with a co visit is uncanny.. how well behaved teachers, members of staff and pupils are..

The CO also checks on ( or at least used to) donations. He would make sure that no funds in the worldwide work donation box ended up in the congregations, or the accounts servants bank account.

How/when did you become a jehovas witness?

so i've been a protestant for most of my life, it's how i was raised, but recently i started questioning my faith more and more and now i feel like my beliefs resemble that of a jehovas witness rather than a protestant.

i don't know any jehovas witnesses, so i was just wondering how a lot of you found the religion and adapted to it?.

My parents converted to JW's in the mid 1960's. In the mid 1980's my brainwashed mother made a death threat to me by telling me that the generation that saw 1914 was getting old and if I didn't get baptized soon Jehovah God would have no choice but to execute me at Armageddon which was imminent. I took the plunge in 1987. That's how I became a Jehovah's Witness. Little did I know that a mere 8 years later the leaders of the jws would change the generation teaching. The 1914 generation are basically dead at this point.

i'm at the recorded meeting right now.

trying to hide my disgust sitting up front listening to geoffrey jackson quibble about the pharisaical minutai of sanctification vs. vindication.

the audience is thrilled that they now have 'permission' to say god's name can be vindicated.

Door-to-door Going Forward

i found that the sale (placement) of books and magazines was always a challenge, but it was still attainable.

when the magazines switched from semi-monthly to monthly, magazine calls were automatically cut in half.

return visits that were made "just to say hi" were hugely awkward.. i never participated in the "please watch a video on my tablet" work, but i would imagine that the fail rate compared to magazine placement is massive.. reducing magazine frequency yet again would make me worked up inside.

It looks like the org wants publishers to focus on conversations instead of literature placements. This would have worked 20 years ago when the publishers actually knew what was in their bibles and could carry on a conversation on a scriptural subject. Today's snowflake publishers are always whining about it being too hot or too cold or that their assigned territory is too far from Tim Hortons coffee shop.
