Resolution passing with zoom
by jonahstourguide inhi folks.. i put this in practices as i thought that appropriate.
perhaps it should be in scandalous behavior.
not a big deal but an example of the cult-ish intimidation and behavior.. at the end of this mornings short wt review prior to the convention brainwash by jackson, ( melbourne australia) the elder stated "brothers we have a resolution to present to the congregation".

“The Asiatic Mind” — Watchtower 1956
by slimboyfat insearching instances of the word “simplify” in watchtower literature, i stumbled across this.. the asiatic mind finds it difficult to accept new ways, to simplify and to make advantageous changes.
they fear conversion and dislike others’ offering them help.
many continually live in a realm of unreality and refuse to face modern facts of life.

It’s a control thing. Carrot and the stick (to beat you with).
You can get privileges in the congregation but they come at a cost to your integrity as a human being.
If you don’t bow to the authoritarian pressure your privileges can be removed in a stroke of a pen.
I’m sure glad I checked out mentally years ago

So in the assembly they put in no use of medical drugs
by tottenkopf inso watching the cults assembly video i am a bit confused about the whole girl asking about marijuana.
non medical use what exactly is that.
what do they mean "medical?

I thought that was interesting as well. Jade used the cannibas to help with her anxiety. Sounds medical to me. I guess they want her to switch to high end scotch as that seems to be the only approved vice.

One of the things circuit overseer scrutinises is amount of donations remitted to branch. And yes they will close your Kingdom Hall but only after you have been given false hope by a renovation project.

A big thing to them is if they are allowed to carry a microphone at the Kingdom Hall or are allowed to auxiliary pioneer in April.

Do You Think All These Organized Demonstrations Are Productive?
by minimus infrom washington state to new york city to atlanta and california and so on, you see thousands of demonstrators trying to get rid of police, statues, monuments and anything they consider racially biased.. do you think this type of activity and destruction is working well for the country and it’s law abiding citizens?

BLM and other leftist organizations are so detached from reality it isn’t even funny.
There is a problem with lack of grocery stores and other services in poorer neighborhoods. What do the protesters do? Burn down the businesses that are there. What do the cities do? Refuse to protect the businesses that are in poorer areas of town.
No business in their right mind will have a store in those places and the community continues to suffer.

Post your experiance with JWs who did not save for retirement and had to work or live off off SS till death
by wolverines inbut one i remember was a full on dyed in the wool believer how was a farmer.

I know several that sold their possessions to serve where the need is greater in their 40s. Some of these had a fair amount of equity but as soon as you start eating into your equity it doesn’t last long. They ran out of money in their 50s and early 60s and ended up not having a pot to piss in.
To be fair there are a lot of “worldly” people that can’t manage money and end up pissing every penny they earn away with no retirement saved.
That being said Satan’s wicked world encourages people to invest for their old age whereas Jehovah says he’s got your back. Not
