  on may 20, 2020, boris johnson's private secretary sent out an e-mail to 100 staff asking them to enjoy the sunshine in the downing street garden, adding they could bring their own bottle.. at the time the uk was under a harsh covid lockdown - people could meet up with up to six members of their own household, and only with one person from another household, socially-distanced of course.

  the prime minister attended this party for 25 minutes but his excuse yesterday at pmqs was that he thought it was a work event.

  as excuses go, this one is right up there with 'the dog ate my homework', lol.. boris johnson must resign - if you force harsh rules on people but break those same rules yourself, it's surely game over.. his private secretary should go, too..

  This hypocrisy is similar to the watchtower’s standard operating procedure.

  Most publishers are not aware that elders can get a free pass on serious sin and bypass the whole judicial committee process.

  Door to door again?

  do you think the jdubs will start up the door whacking again one day?.

  there has to be many inside the org that are dreading having to do that again and as for the general public seeing this, it’s hard to imagine.

  Then I can also see them handing all Bible studies over to pioneers to carry out, for clout and to ensure they get enough hours in.

  They’ve been doing this for years already. I think it’s a way to keep pioneers motivated. It’s happened to Mrs Hoser. She had a study and pretty soon the elders decided to get a pioneer sister to take over. The person eventually got baptized and the pioneer sister got the assembly interview.

  It is a lot better optics than a low hour publisher bring someone into the “truth”.

  Don't know what will happen with the door to door preaching but I was surprised to get an invitation to a zoom meeting from an old jw friend. They sent me the link and said you can attend any congregation you want to now

  Until you establish your regular attendance. Then they will social engineer the situation so that you eventually go back to the congregation you should be assigned to.

  He won’t resign. He’s upper caste. They live by different rules than us peons.

  The lower working class and middle class are our own worse enemies as the upper caste has us fighting among ourselves.

  Are JW's Sins Forgiven? NO - (Says the Watchtower)

  anyone who has been of this forum in the past few days has seen doubting thomas (an active jw) refuse over and over to provide even one scripture that can show how a jw can get their sins forgiven while outside of the new covenant as described in mt.

  26: 27-28. yet, he claims to believe in the blood covering of jesus while at the same time personally rejecting the new covenant "for forgiveness of sins".

  his contradictory claims are common among jw's.

  What if sinning is a concept made up thousands of years ago merely to control a population so that all could benefit from some kind of social order?

  What if sacrifices for atonement were just a kind of a tax, similar to china’s social credit score?

  It maintains a certain level of order in a society.

  i saw a statistic the other day that something like 25% of all the debt that the us has incurred since 1776 was created in the last 12 months.

  that's because they have printed so much currency and instead of letting that stop them, they are going to continue printing more to go on a spending spree on crazy green-new-deal schemes and union handouts.. does anyone think that this can be anything other than inflationary?

  they are effectively stealing the wealth of everyone to then hand money out to people.

  There are three choices to deal with excess currency. Tax higher, allow inflation to take its course or significantly raise interest rates and create a recession. The last one is probably the best option but the least popular

  Both sets of my grandparents were refugees and worked extremely hard to build a new life for my parents and I am forever grateful. Kudos to these hard working Canadians.
