No Part of The World Circuit Assembly Highlights
by DavinciCodeBreaker inwell this past weekend was pretty much as predicted, the demonstrations were probably the worst i have ever seen.
you know the ones i mentioned on a post last week where in the middle the participant has a sudden epiphany!

"Something else that a CO recently said in one of the 'Attending the Needs of the Circuit': We are missing a whole generation of Ministerial Servants which will eventually reflect on the amount of Elders that can take the lead."
I thought I heard this once too, but I thought I may have been wrong but I guess it has been said from the platform so I must have heard it
OK so whos gonna replace the elders when they get too old HEY wait a minute didn't you just say that Armageddon was comin like right away so why are we worried about elders 20 years down the road.
for a CO to make a statement like this he DOESN'T BELIEVE THE END IS COMING!

A frog in boiling water?
by hoser ini don't know where i've heard it before(perhaps from a circuit overseer talk) but someone associated with jehovahs witnesses made the analogy.
that if you put a frog in a pot of boiling water it will jump out immediately, but if you put the same frog in a pot of cold water and slowly heat it up.
the frog will not notice the gradual temperature change and will cook to death.. the overseer or elder used this illustration as a warning to say that gradual changes in morals around us- we will not notice and get cooked alive.

have you heard it from the platform also Blondie
or is it just me?

so to speak so watch out about missing meetings, service praying bla bla bla
Well today I just happened to think about this while I was boiling some water and decided to investigate. Snopes.com says:.........
TOTALLY FALSE
A frog put in boiling water will die and the frog in the heating water will jump out if the pot allows for it.
Anyone else heard this illustration from the platform??

CO was asking for money in his talk last night
by life is to short inok i listened in on the phone last night to the co's talk after the book study.
i am truly starting to realize that otwo is right and it is just making me more depressed and mad.
but my husband still goes and it is helpful to be able to bring things up with him.. so i was half listening when he starts to go on about where the money goes that we put into the world wide work box at the back of the hall.. i started to tune in more and he was going on and on about how the ones in the full time service do not have any money and how what we give is what keeps them going and how we need to give.

Yep come into town in a new buick sedan that average Joe publisher could never afford and tell Joe that his wife Mary shouldn't be waitressing at the local greasy spoon part time to put shoes on the kids feet.

The role of the Home Bible Study arrangement in JW brainwashing
by MrMonroe ini've just started reading "year of doom, 1975: the inside story of jehovah's witnesses" by english author j.c. stevenson.
it was published in 1967 as basically a memoir of his years in the dubs, including time as a pioneer, and an explanation of the methods used by them to make the organisation grow.. it's not the best "insider" book i've written, but there is a section i've uploaded below that makes some interesting points about the home bible study procedure and why it is so effective at turning interested people into baptism candidates.
reading through this, i see myself back in the mid-80s sitting there getting led, week by week, into the trap.. this section is from chapter 2, "the seed is watered" in which he explains the typical process following a few return visits.. .

Vidiot:
You are most likely right, it does reinforce the indoctrination that has taken place.
the books that are used are so well written to suck people in.

The bible study work(watchtower publication study work) serves two purposes. It indoctrinates the householder, and it indoctrinates the publisher.
When someone goes into a JC if they are not DF'd it is automatic that someone studies with them a watchtower book, to re-assimilate them into the collective.

Toxic Relationships
by serenitynow! ini have had it with my mother.
i've spoken on the board before about her.
she is fanatically religious, often keeps me on the phone for hours while she talks endlessly about the bible.
-
hoser
she wants to talk the bible talk the bible!
play her game better than she plays it
If your mam wants to talk endlessly about the bible find a few unexplainable obscure scriptures preferably about gossip or meddling in others affairs, take control of the conversation and even better find a sentance or paragraph in a watchtower article to back you up clearly showing her actions to be unscriptural.
that should shut her up for a while

May 15 WT sisters support your husband.....or else!
by hoser inthe new study watchtower page 9 explains how sisters should be happy to be servants to their elder husbands.. "co-operate in financial matters".
"joyful to see her husband active in the congregation".
if he makes a decision you disagree with "she displays a quiet and mild spirit and cooperates with him to make his decision work".

How many times can you be rejected for reinstatement ??
by Pitchess Co-Gen inok lets say you get disfellowshipped and because of a disagreement with your "home elders"; you move to another congregation ( i already know about the "rule" where your publisher card stays with you old congregation ).
now lets say you want to come back, but your old congregation keeps rejecting you request for reinstatement ( 3 or more times ).
is there a rule that says that after the fourth rejection the decision to reinstate goes to the new congregation ?
-
hoser
Want to get back into the congregation:
1. move to a distant congregation where no one knows you, and I mean No One.
2. show up at a meeting or two and wait for someone to offer you a bible study
3. play stupid for a while, but make reasonable progress in your studies and meeting attendance
4. Don't let on you were a witness or Df'd
5. Even if you are found out if you have progressed enough in the "truth" they will quietly reinstate you without even making an announcement to the congregations so that they don't look like theyve been fooled
6. quietly fade away
worked for me!
