  i know, i know...it's all part and parcel of the whole fading thing.....but..... i missed a phone call from an unknown number tonight....oddly enough, had this been a few months ago the number would have still been programmed in my phone.

  the number was to the kingdom hall i used to attend over a year ago.

  i have not set foot in it since probably late april, early may, of 2009. but tonight an elder called.

  I Saw An "Inactive" JW At The Local Pub

  he used to be a ms in another hall and was a friend of my daughter's.

  how refreshing it was to hear that he hasn't gone to the hall for over 3 years and he articulated how ridiculous the entire religion is.

  i was with a friend having lunch and my friend's entire family are jws.. he expressed that it was great getting out of the "cult".

  Welcome Southern.finesse! I really hope and wish the best for you two. I see that you have been comparing the NWT with other bibles. If you pull up as many bibles translations as you can to compare verses with the NWT that should really help open her eyes. That was the BIGGEST and BEST wake up call for me. There is a Book called Reasoning from the Scriptures with the Jehovah's witness. If she is going to use her's i don't see why you can't have one too, as long as you are nice about it. If she isn't, than you can kindly ask her if she wouldn't use her reasoning book. I truly wish you both all the best!
