Its like the movie Big Daddy where every time there was a mess or a spill they just covered it up with newspaper.

IF there is a deity I don't think humans know anything about it, or why we are here.

Do you still believe in the doctrines of the Watchtower
by SAHARA inman, i did it again in messing up my post.
anyway, after reading many exjw responses to questions from posters, i see there is a wide variety of opinions on faith and religion in general such as still believing that there is a god to no belief in god at all.
for those of you who still believe that there is a god, i'd like to know whether or not you still believe in the doctrines of the watchtower, but you just don't believe that it is gods "only true religion"?.

i believe "do on to others as you want done to you".... unfortunately this is just a rule that Jehovah's witnesses say and don't do.

How many of you were baptised at a young age?
by lepermessiah inone thing this site has made me reflect on the baptism practice in jw land.. many of us were raised in the religion, thus you were given the pressure early on to shoot for baptism as a goal.. i remember feeling bad because i waited until the ripe old age of 14 to take the plunge.. looking back, i realize that when i was 14, i didnt even know what my favorite color was, let alone have enough knowledge to make a life altering decision.
yet, growing up in that climate, i would say anyone who waited past their early teens to get baptised was viewed with great suspicion and was likely to be viewed as "bad association".
kids who took the dip at 8-9 years of age were viewed as "wise beyond their years" and the like.. how old were some of you when you were baptised, and what are your feelings on the matter?.

a month before my 14th birthday. I was average/old for my area. and i can truly say it was out of pressure. my sisters got baptized at 9 and 12, and i was getting old. I was having emotional problems(really bad depression), i was told that baptism would help me through my tough teen years, and help me make better decisions.... I didn't know that they would be made out of fear. I think its horrible to let people make a decisions that will effect and change there life more than marriage at such a young age. and now i get to sit by the side lines and watch my niece get baptized at 8 and my nephew get baptized at 10 just 'cause his younger cousin did. there REALLY should be a age limit. like "PAST THE BLOOM OF YOUTH"!... or NEVER
