  Can you be an atheist and believe in logic and maths?

  atheists are, by definition, naturalistic materialists; i.e.

  they believe that only the physical universe exists, only the nature exists therefore there is no supernatural and certainly no god.. can you, therefore, be an atheist but believe in logic and maths?

  they're also not made of matter.. is it true to say, then, that the atheist worldview is contradictory?

  i was watching cnn, an d they asked this question and this one lady called in and claimed she wasn't raised in a religious household.

  but she remembered when she was in elementary school that this jw girl asked her if she was spritual she said no, then the jw told her she would go to hell.

  Because of God there is spirituality

  Because of Man there is religion

  I think religion is a connection with man and spirituality is a connection with God. I think spirituality has to replace religion or your existence after death will be with the one you followed.

  although mentally i really feel i could walk away from the org right now, i still have genuine love for the people i have come to know over the years.

  What Would Strong BAD Do ?

  All those "friends" will cease to exist the moment they find out you are educated. You could hope that some of them also are aware that something is amiss with the WBATS and maybe some of them will also leave the Borg.

  I think Strong Bad would punch the friends so they would follow him as he exits.

  I suppose I've got a story to tell and I'll throw it out here some time when I feel like rolling around in it. I haven't noticed a particular place everyone starts at.

  One thing I have noticed since I joined, is I've actually talked about stuff, which is something I have not done ever.

  I have an espresso machine (Krups) every morning I make a double shot with some very dark beans. I dilute the shots by 1/2 with hot water and drink it black. It's strong flavored and rich and it taste wonderful.

  I don't drink any more coffee the rest of the day.

  i really needed to find a place to write this as i don't believe i can talk with anyone else about my account, perhaps it is similar to a lot of yours.. last night for whatever reason i said i would go online and look up information on jws.

  i have been raised as a jw all my life and baptized the last few years.

  i looked at www.freeminds.org and www.sixscreensofthewatchtower.com and couldn't believe how easily the whole of my lifes teachings were refuted.. i can't stop my brain from running, bs just in regards to theology alone (1914, paradise earth, celebrations etc.

  Forced to commit adultery, how?

  i read somewhere that the wt holds that a person who refuses to have sex with the spouse is somehow "forcing" the spouse to commit adultery.

  i consider this ridiculous, but, in the interest of learning more, may someone explain this to me?.

  would the spouse thus "forced" be disfellowshipped?

  If the WBATS is saying it's the womans fault that the husband has stepped out of the marriage, it's just more stupid from the steaming pile of stupid.

  The WBATS can't offer a solution because the solution would involve counseling outside of the KH and counseling out of the KH would likely lead to "followers" discovering the "truth".

  And we can't have that can we ?
