  it strongly bothers, upsets and irritates me that they call it judicial committee!!!

  as if it's a real supreme court with real lawyers and judges.

  are they even aloud to call it judicial???.

  Has anyone ever ask a householder to keep their Bible study secret from their spouse?

  i was told of one incident, where a pioneer said that she had trouble with one householders husband, because he was hiding the literature and did not want his wife to study with the jw's so she incouraged the householder to study in secrecy.. .

  According the Law, an engaged woman was considered a wife. That was the point of the scripture blondie posted.

  So...try again. If Jehovah impregnated a woman considered to be married by the law he handed down, why wasn't he guilty?

  Question about private reproof and weddings

  i've posted before about someone i'm friends with who was going to go to the elders with his girlfriend about some things they've been doing.

  well, they got young and very liberal elders who weren't by the book.

  the experience didn't end up being quite as bad as i prepared him for and they both only got private reproof.

  I know I meddled as an elder because of stupid ass rules, including weddings. And I regretted it for a long time. I cannot change what I did back then, only apologize and move forward. Forward and out of the cult for 3 years now.

  Oh, snakes....not because i don't beleive you, but when i read that i thought "he's lying!"

  Of course, I also thought "we should vote to lynch him!" at the same time. I guess that just means I need sleep.

  i was wondering if you could explain for me, please, how it is that "armageddon" is supposed to occur "soon"... when, according to "the bible"... it doesn't occur until after the 1,000 years (which haven't even started, right?)...

  No no no...using a day for a year, it's 1000 days of years. Normally that would be 365250 days, buthese are prophetic years, so we use 360 to get to 360000 days. So, using , it's 360000 years of365.25 days each.

  so, the title pretty much explains it.. .

  i've come to a pretty definite conclusion for myself as to where i stand, and how i feel about the existence of a deity- let alone the idea that wts has divine backing.. .

  my issue is that, being born in, i have lots of subconsciously ingrained phobias and behaviors burned in so deep, i constantly catch myself thinking and reatcting to things the "witness" way- things that don't apply to my life or the way i (want to) live my life anymore.. for example, because of the way i've been raised and indoctrinated, i've grown a serious aversion- you could say almost a literal fear- of worldy people; girls in particular.

  I know what you mean. I've been in for 36 and just now getting out....I'm just saying most 17 year old boys in just try to not get caught, they never get an aversion.

  Australian brothers VERY negative comments regarding new "generations" ... some leaving Bethel..will this blow up in the Watchtowers face?

  a brother i spoke with from bethel to me seemed discouraged and lacking zeal latley...he spoke of leaving which shocked me since he was there for decades...he left to get a full time job!!!

  it was his whole reason for living since i've known him!

  others have said the new doctrine of "blended generations" of anionted seeing armagedon is "confusing" or "i just don't get it"...one brother my only close friend is furious and said i qoute..."they seem to be blowing smoke up our ass!

  What's the “brother's” name? Can he speak for himself? Of course not? Can you provide his name so I can verify his position? Can't do that either. But it is easy to make stuff up.
