Jesus confirmed the religious historicity of Noah's day and Sodom and that what occurred there was of divine origin.
The historicity of Jesus has not been confirmed.
i would like to propose an ethical dilemma for those who believe in the divine inspiration of the bible.. in the following scenarios i am not asking you what you would have done but rather, what you hope you would have had the courage to do.. scenario 1. you are camped on the east side of the jordan waiting for orders to cross into the promised land.
moses is nearing the end of his life but he has some unfinished business to take care of before he hands over to joshua.
he announces that he has had an instruction from god to take revenge on the midianites before he dies.

Jesus is the WORD of God, as such, when he speaks, God speaks, whe we see Jesus and hear him, we hear God.
OK, I can respect that, but here is my issue with it.
Imagine you have a box sitting on the floor. The box is black and red, covered in razor sharp electrfied spike coated in poison that. The word LOVE is crafted on the side of the box from the men, women and children it has killed.
One day the box open and out pops a fuzzy white bunny that is the sweetest thing ever and loves to snuggle and play.
Does it seem reasonable to say that because the bunny came from the box that it perfectly describes the box?
That's what I see, Jesus if he is the word of God, reflects an entirely different god from the OT, the qualities that Jesus displayed and preached were literally the exact opposite of what YHWH displayed. Jesus preached love and faith and not ritual and personal deliverance, YHWH preached inheritance, destruction, death and ritualized worship.
It seems that to lay claim to Jesus revealing the word of God that God's word totally changed.
he's a guy and upon request, he gave me his e-mail address so he could give me a yes or a no to my invitation to join us tonight for dinner.. after i asked him if he'd like to join us, he snickered and said i don't know.
give me a couple of hours to think about it.
i asked him four hours later if he had decided, yet, but he hadn't even thought about it yet.. i said that it's not a test question, no right or wrong answer.. he asked where and i said it's a nice place uptown.. he said that he needed to think about it because of the dress up thing.. i said he didn't need to dress up, that just slacks and a nice shirt would do.. that was two days ago, and i haven't heard back from him, yet, although i did e-mail him so he could let me know.. i'm the wheels for the evening, so i needed to know so i could pick him up, or not.. does no answer (seems like avoidance) mean no, or is there some other excuse that might (wanna say rescue his ass but won't say it) be plausible?.

i just noticed a thread about the 3 guys, the hotel and the missing dollar, and no one offered the correct solution as to why it could not be accounted for, so it is incumbent upon me to do so.
it was posted that the clerk told the three guys they could get a room for 30 dollars a night.
they each gave him 10 dollars.
*takes a bow, blows kisses, does the side wave thing with her hand*
::swoon::

I think the point is that several favorite posters were, THE favorite is NOW here.
All hail tec!
sbc, outlaw and a few others have chatted me up about cigars, so i thought i would start a thread for us to discuss, made recommendations, talk about cigar related activies like golf, drinking, and smoking after a great meal.
this thread is for any interest in cigars, what kind you like, don't like, questions, answers, whatever.
anything related to cigars and not related to jws or religion is up for discussion.
Smoked the mayorga topedo tonight. It was a very enjoyable smoke, not the best, but but I paid $2.25 for it, so for the price it was awesome. The ash lasted for almost half the smoke, not at robust as I would had expected from a maduro. More mild, but enjoyable with creamy flavors. For as mild as it was, the flavors were a bit spicy, but again, very enjoyable. The burn was very even with a good amount of smoke.
On the recommend side.

I find that brutal truth clothed in satire not fitting for this conversation. It doesn't match the tone of the thread.
Ooops for you then.
It's not nice. Sometimes he really is nice. He's so erratic in his behavior that I can't figure it out. I'm just giving up on it now.
You and men seem to have a difficult relationship. Just food for thought.

Being treated normally is being treated kindly.
Actually it's about 50/50.
The annonimity of this board gives some people the idea that it's okay to speak rudely.
Well, really it's ANY internet forum. And honesty is often mistaken for rudeness, particularly if someone doesn't like brutal truth clothed in satire.
then i cant help but come to the conclusion that everyone who died (like 99.999% of humanity at the time) was doomed from the start.. if god directed noah to build a flotation device with very specific parameters, god must have known exactly how many people, animal species, plant etc, would be in it.. what if people actually listened to noah and thousands upon thousands turned up waiting to enter the ark?
god must have known that only so many people will listen and obey instructions.. no to mention that noahs message didnt really reach that many people.
at that time how many people could have heard it?
it's good to look at things with a fresh approach...
It is. Let me know when you do, please.

Now, I could be wrong, of course, but it seems likely that he's too chicken to see me at work so soon after wimping out with nary a word.
It could be that he reads this board and is wary of saying anything after the "walk in the park guy".
