  it has been an interesting journey.

  What Does the Bible Really Teach??

  my wife's family is jw, she has never been a partipative jw, but now due to her mom, has been expressing some interest and is starting a 'bible study' using 'what does the bible really teach?

  ' am looking for any guidance on this book as well as any path i can take to make sure my wife stays away.

  any assistance at all would be appreciated.

  What Went Thru Your Mind While Sitting at The Meetings?

  i used to listen but not really.

  i'd look at the platform/speaker stand, look like i was paying attention, get antsy, and find another elder to "discuss" something ith.

  i just got to the meeting----right before it was to start and if the talkative po decided that his last part was going to go overtime, i'd put on my coat and look at the big clock on my way out in front of everyone and leave for the local bar.

  after puberty all i ever thought about at meetings was sex.

  WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS IN LIFE?

  since we were never really allowed to "have goals" while we were witnesses (other than becoming a pioneer or going to bethel), what goals have you set for yourself now that you're free?

  i'm pursuing my ba, but i'm not sure in what field i want to major in...maybe religious studies!

  wouldn't that be a scream?

  1. Graduate from college. did this finally at age 45

  2. See as many national parks as possible. I've seen 22 so far.

  3. Build a good relationship with my partner. 17 years so far. He's the best.

  4. Have a successful career. soon will be 30 years in business and I've done as well as I am able to.

  5. Own my own house. Paid off our house in 2002

  Future goals

  1. Start a career as an artist by the time I am 50. www.joelbear.net

  3. Retire and live in as many different places as possible

  did my mother move to florida without so much as a phone call or a letter letting me know?

  i found out from my ''worldly'' aunt, 4 months after she had already left.

  she's back in town for the week.

  Sex Education for FIVE year olds?

  i read the following article, and found too many points where i felt utterly amazed that anyone can think our children should be exposed to such tuition.

  how far have we gone as a people to feel that young children need to be taught such adult stuff?

  really, i found many of the points in the article quite worrying.too many to mention.. please take the time to read all of it .

  Talked to an elder about the BIG NEWS

  i had the opportunity to have a discussion with an elder the other day.

  we were both in a public place and we started to talk.

  he was depressed because one of his teens is now df'ed.

  Why would god create magnificent angels and then create puny humans?

  so god wants to share the gift of life and creates his son and myriads of other powerful, angelic creations to to share eternity with.

  these are rational, intelligent self-aware individuals with awesome capabilities.

  they can travel the universe in moments and are blessed by the literal presence of almighty god.. then he makes us and sticks us on a rock.
