why are women so forgiving in jehovahs witnesses ?

i saw a jw girl i used to work with a few weeks back who was married for about 8 years and has 2 children , she was in a right state and told me her husband had just left her for a work collegue and said he no longer loved her !

within a month i see her again and she took him back within a wk of him going to live with this other woman , she told me she blamed herself for not having sex often enough !and they were working on their marriage !

why would you want someone who said they no longer loved you ?

There are a ton of 'sisters' that are just as bad as this guy.

But sisters go through HELL in the org. They wait and wait to marry some 'prince'.....read 'servant'....who is then just some dude that could ride around in a mini-van for 10 hours a month...... they marry him....... they start making babies. Keep in mind they rarely can support themselves since they didn't go to college.......so they start weighing out the 'benefits' of taking the loser back.....

...a lot of them take them back. Then cry and cry due to unhappiness.

Its truly a criminal situation.

i considered myself immune to ex jw stuff.

no amount of old watchtowers or anything would change me.

it was seeing treatment of others by elders and the bible itself, which woke me.

As an elder....it was a sister we had DF'd.....when I called her to tell her we were reinstating her the next night....she cried and said thank you....and said she was going to kill herself the next day

I woke up.

Disfellowshipping....something I NEVER agreed with....is what did it for me.

Next came the GROSS lack of love among JW's..... especially the elders and CO's.....some of them are just terrible/dysfunctional people .....

wendy cloete louwwe lost a sister in our congregation today, had severe depression and tried to take her own life.

sad thing is if the doctors stopped being petty and insisting on bloody and just gave her alternative blood volumiser sooner she might have been fine.

it took the elders hours to get her transferred to a new hospital.

Because she attempted suicide...she won't "qualify" for a memorial at the Kingdom Hall.......despite her stand on blood.

Yep.....she is a 'loser' in their eyes anyway.

It just gets sicker and sicker.

Are any of you addicted to your new sexual revolution?

now that i am free from my bonds to an organization dictating to me what i can and cannot do (in bed included), i cannot stop.....i feel like an addict on coke or something, i have been with my bf for eight months now, and perhaps it is a combination of the newness of a sexual relationship with the release from my spiritual bonds, but....i feel like a cat in heat 24/7.

of course my bf is not complaining even though i see he is physically tired parts of the day that i actually leave him alone (to go to work or sleep after hours of lovemaking).

i wonder if anyone else has gone through similar experience.

(I happen to be 40something.....and have had a couple of girlfriends in their late 20s......)

..highly respected young elder.......all the way up to convention level, KM School, etc.

You're killing me.....LOL, hilarious. I love it. First...... I was roaring about the Uncle Freddy's oral sex comments....AWESOME....I can't stop laughing....however, no worries there..... I have a Master's Degree in that area ;) ....... and I enjoy giving :)

I was more curious what other people's experiences were. To be honest, I love the ladies..... and the only thing that has seemed awkward was the lack of college. But then again, that bothers me too (I have no idea why this is in bold)....... that is one thing I have a problem with.....

I've wondered if the other gentlemen have had any awkward experiences meeting people after being indoctrinated....especially if they were raised a JW.

I don't plan on talking about it.....but I'm not naive enough to think it isn't somewhat of a hurdle to get over.

But what was it like to navigate through the waters of other people while getting into relationships? Did you wonder what to do about holidays? How to explain your history of religion? Your lack of college?

I've been dating quite a bit....but most of them were fringe 'sisters'..... a few were non-JWs......I would love to hear how difficult it was for you....or not difficult....and what were the challenges and the rewards.....

To help my cousin..maybe if you used to be an elder..

i have a cousin who has been away from the meetings 5 years.

she was baptized only a year before becoming "inactive" and moved to another state.

then after some time she moved back to the area all the family is from, but wouldn't say a word of anything having to do with the religion.

have just spent some time looking for old friends on facebook without much success, then i thought i'd see if any of the robots from my old cong were to be found.. i found 3 elders 4 ms and about 15-20 rank and file now is it me or did the gb say that fb was not to be used?.

have you found anyone you know to be going against the gb?.
