What happens after you get the registered letter?
by paul from cleveland inmy friend's daughter, who was baptized at 14, has decided to leave the witnesses.
she's in her early 20's.
she's stopped going to meeting a while ago and moved in with her father who is disfellowshipped.

OMG the Watchtower IS toast!
by kneehighmiah inthe waters are drying up!
a congregation of 110+ publishers will be contributing only $200 a month to the society in the new kingdom hall construction arrangement.
that's less than $2 a publisher!

KAIK nailed it.
I've been saying for the past couple of years.....and this new 'not over 80' elder arrangment only proves it: They want the old timers to die.
With the old timers goes all the history.....and the broken promises. They will romanticize cheese danishes, ballpark conventions and those 90 hour a month pioneers for the next generation of gullible people.
It's tragic........I would love to be inside the head of these folks in their 60's and 70's........they have to be going 'huh?'

How stupid were we??
by Crazyguy inits unbelievable to me that one verse in the bible blows up the entire jw dogma and its amazing to me that with all this bible reading we jw's did we missed it.
even faders and people who quit for many reasons missed it.
what verse am i talking about it verse 9 of chapter 5 of revelations.

I couldn't agree more with The Searcher above. Nailed it. It's been my battle cry for years....
Field service is an unecessary action.....we should all just be mass murderers......guarantees a resurrection. Of course,..we would count our time and still take coffee breaks.

What Do Mormons Really Believe? RE: The Nov. 8, 1995 Awake Magazine
by D_Rolling_Kearney ini am a member of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints, and i have written a heavily-documented response to the official magazine of the jehovah's witnesses, awake!, that claims to teach what we believe.
i saw an article from last year's watchtower about a guy who had barely been mormon for very long, and obviously did not know what we believe, who was given this magazine by jw's to show him "the truth.
" he claims to have proven to himself that it was true from information on the lds church's website.

Worry Over Possible "Spying Elders"
by abbasgreta inthis seems to be a real worry for 'faders' on a number of threads.
the responses to ducati's first posting.
is a good example.

I will forever be BAFFLED by ANY fear of elders. They have exactly the power you give them......how can a 'fader' be worried about spying elders?
Most states have anti-stalking laws....simply mention it and they will scatter like cockroaches.
Gone are the days of spying, sitting out front of homes in cars, etc. They can be arrested!
Don't answer the phone. If they leave a threatening message; keep it......contact an attorney and have a letter drafted on stationary threatening legal action......CC the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society on the letter.
Seriously......stop fearing these jokers.........99% of elders can't find where there arse is!!!
By the way....you would be amazed at what happens when you disfellowship THEM..........shun them!
