much trouble... or, things to do at the mtg that will raise eyebrows but won't get you into to much trouble.. i've been thinking about this since i still go.

i'm surprised at how much a person can get away with if they are in a hall that they have no family in that particular kingdom hall.... at the memorial i put on so much dark eye make-up i was shocked my husband didn't say anything walking out the door.

instead, i got compliments, lol, not exactly what i planned on.... one of my friends who faded went to the memorial and she had a pretty low cut shirt on.

hello everyone i'm writing this because i am taking a break from here for awhile.

one reason is i do not feel welcomed.

everyone else just clicks with everyone else and i feel out of place.

JF, I'm sorry you didn't feel welcome. This place is sooo huge, and so many new ones everyday, it's hard to get to know people.

I thought it was an amazing coindence that you and bite me are in the same library, and was kinda excited to see how the whole thing would evolve. (like it is true? will they know each other? like each other? or is it going to big April's Fool's joke.

Oh well....

I've been here for 5 years and have met hundreds of people, because I traveled ....sometimes 100's of miles to meet them. Or they came to meet me. Never been disapointed...except when it was time to depart and go back to our lives. But even then I was left with wonderful memories and some great pictures....and many new friends.

I wish you all the best, come back when you're ready.

Who has lost faith?

i am curious about who (after leaving) went on to other religions vs. lost faith completely.

once i started questioning the wt society, i began to question everything.

as jw's we are taught from childhood up that other religions are false - so it seems easy, after elliminating the last one, to be rid of religion altogether.. .

I didn't think of it as loosing faith, I just knew it wasn't the truth for me. I also knew, that I'd probably never join another religion, because I won't even join a gym or club that expects you to do things I don't feel like doing. But I do enjoy the freedom to learn about all religions, on my own..without pressure, I especially like to ask people "WHY they joined, or believe or have faith,....

I don't feel the need to worship or join a religion.

That's it, I guess, maybe I just enjoy learning how other live and go about life.

or....Maybe I'm just nosey.

i will be leaving for dayton ohio in the morning, and will be away from the board for the next 8 days.

i will check my messages when i get back.

my first official vacation of 2008 and i don't even have to use vacation time, just using my saved holidays.
