  my name is kevin and i am jon's partner.

  jon gave me his password a few weeks ago and asked me to post to the board if something happened to him.

  as some of you know jon had been undergoing cancer treatment since the end of july.

  Taking a health break

  i wanted to let you all know that i will be staying away from my computer for some time so i won't be able to join the discussions on this board for a few weeks.

  the chemo is sucking out loud and i need to try and focus myself on healing.

  for those many of you who have emailed and called with your support, you will never know how much you have helped.

  Poetry as Therapy / A million falling tears

  as i sit on the stoop and watch the evening arrive,.

  my thoughts wander back to another place and time.. when a candle in a window was a sign of hope and cheer,.

  not a symbol to remind me of a million falling tears.. i watch the news reports, i hear the newsman speak,.

  WHAT MORE CAN WE DO TO HELP???

  i was wondering, what can i do as an individual to help the people in ny and dc.

  i can't donate blood because i have leukemia.

  i can't go to nyc to try and help because i'm not able to travel now due to undergoing chemo.

  Can I share a great experience with you all?

  just wanted to pass along a recent experience that has helped open my eyes about many things.

  i wasn't going to share this with the db but with all of the crap going on around here lately i thought it might be nice to post something that i found to be uplifting.

  a few of you that i exchange emails with already know that my leukemia came out of remission recently.

  Is monogamy realistic?

  do you believe that humans are capable of complete sexual monogamy?.

  i believe 100% emotional monogamy is obtainable, but i'm not sure about sexual monogamy.

  does gender figure into the equation?

  i just found out my best friend died this morning.

  i'm not looking for sympathy, i just need some input.

  we were very close and worked together volunteering for the aids foundation here in my hometown.
