Of course, the G.E.D. dummy would respond to this thread, wouldn't he? And it's no wonder that he is a G.E.D. dummy, as he can't even get the spelling of the Lord's name correct especially considering that he's read her posts with the correct spelling countless times. Obviously, we now know why he's a G.E.D. dummy.

AGuest:
by Vicosovich_R indo you believe that just because you start your posts with, may you have peace, that you are genuinely kind?
when in actuality, when you greet people with that message, then follow it with sarcasm and snide remarks, you are really being cruel.
when was cruelty ever synonymous with being faithful?

I Am Curious, So A Couple/Few Questions, If I May...
by AGuest into the household of god, israel, and those who go with... may you all have peace!.
i am curious (and serious)... regarding your thoughts as to the "source" for the "sacred secrets" revealed by paul... and whether you believe he was the last to so receive (if you indeed believe so and excluding john's revelation) and why you believe so, particularly given the "gifts" of the spirit and the prophecy regarding its outpouring.
i am also curious as to what you believe such gifts are for... and how they are used.. i am curious... because i am concerned.

SA, I stand corrected, educated, and edified. My spirit totally agrees with the biblical points you pointed out to me. Thank you. When you quoted the biblical texts I had no choice but to agree as I have read these texts before on numerous occasions. Thank you for the admonishment. --Inkie

Designs, you wrote:
Why this need to pat themselves on the back and point a finger at 'the others'. Here it seems like having a phenominal experience is part of the sign you are in the club but when the GB syas they get inspiration from above its considered false. . . . 'The voices I hear are from God, yours are from the Devil'. Hmmm
Designs, you could not be more mistaken. Where did you ever get the thought or idea that I (or we) were ever patting ourselves on the back? I (we) haven't done ANYTHING that warrants receiving a pat on the back. The Governing Body ("GB") has taught that they are "anointed." Far be it from me to say they are not, although I do have my serious doubts about that. But I wouldn't tell them (or anyone else for that matter) that they are NOT anointed. That is between them, God, and Christ, as someone else stated here in this thread. Jaheshua, however, did say that "by their fruits you will know them" meaning that by seeing the things they say and do one can discern if they are imposters or not. You do know this, right? Also, it is also written that there are anointed ones who, unfortunately and to their own detriment, prove false to their choosing/anointing. In the Bible they are called adultresses. These are anointed ones who have left their husband--the Christ.
Tec is correct when she said that all "we" do is try to point and direct people TO THE CHRIST. That is it. You go to him, not us.

Designs, you are mistaken. This is not the same at all. The other sheep of which the Bible speaks are a different "fold" (Gentiles) but are made into ONE flock WITH the elect (to use your word). They are all elect. On the contrary, Designs, this is not a dividing of Christians but a uniting of Christians.

You are correct, BXJW, it doesn't mean that and it is NOT an audible voice. It is not a voice that one hears with one's physical ears. If it were audible in that way, then everyone (even unbelievers and enemies of God and Christ) would hear it, wouldn't they? Remember, Christ said: "I am with YOU (his anointed) all the days until the conclusion of the system of things." He also said: "I will not leave you bereft." It is a voice that one hears with one's "spiritual" ears--on the "inside" of one's self.
When I first began "to hear," it sounded like my own voice speaking to me. I decided to test it (as the biblical text admonishes us to do) and I put my little faith in what I heard it say. No, it is not a "deep" male voice so to speak, although it does sound male to me. It's a pleasant voice, soft-spoken, gentle and kind, caring. I hear it day and night, but not constantly. When I turn my attention to Him, he is immediately there for me--immediately--and he acknowledges his presence to me each and every time. And he does speak to me. Other times, when I least expect it, he warns me of something or he admonishes me regarding things. One time, a long time ago, I remember distinctly, when I was tempted to do something I should not do, his voice came to me and was loud and clear so that I might not be mistaken as to who it was that was speaking to me. It was a warning for me not to do this thing (for my own benefit), but it was not a command. It was unmistakeable (to me). It was not a "Thou shalt not" type of voice. It was a strong warning, and it was loud, but it was a caring voice that spoke to me. I have trusted the voice ever since. And I didn't do the tempting deed. Thank God!

BXJW:
No doubt SA will respond on her own.
Nonetheless, she is quoting what our Lord said about his sheep. His sheep listen to his voice. So they HEAR him. According to the biblical text, he "calls" his sheep OUT from the pen. His sheep respond and come out. (The others, who are not his sheep, are not called out and stay in the pen.) Those sheep who respond to the call are chosen and receive an anointing. And in the receiving of that anointing are made Christians. So, a Christian is definitely one who HAS RECEIVED AN ANOINTING--totally and absolutely. A Christian ALSO hears his Lord. There is no two-tier Christianity involved.
Just because one calls himself a Christian does not make it so. The word "Christain" is defined as an "Anointed Person." Obviously, if you haven't been anointed with holy spirit you cannot be a Christian (anointed person) plain and simple.
In the Society's publications "they" often use the phrase "anointed Christian." That is SO redundant because they are in fact saying "anointed anointed person." Why doesn't it surprise me?

BXJW: You wrote:
It was merely an example of what many Christians experience. If some Christians are only disciples and only those who hear an audible voice are Christians then does not make for a two tier Christianity much like the Witnesses?
Actually, if truth be told, it is an 'example of what many [claiming to be] Christian experience.' Not necessarily that they are Christian. As AGuest said, ONLY persons who have received an anointing ARE Christians. Plain and simple. People who claim to be Chrisitans but WHO HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN ANOINTING are ONLY disciples. However, many people HEAR VOICES. It is our duty to check the "inspired expression" that is heard to make sure that it comes from God or Christ. That instruction is even contained in the Bible.
A Christian is one who BOTH hears his Lord and one who has received an anointing from him, but it is the anointing that makes one a Christian in the true meaning of the word.

GJ: You asked:
“Who can I count on during the tribulation?”
While I totally “get” everything you wrote, the ANSWER to your first question is found in John 14:1. It is “they” who will safeguard you, even if everyone else fails you. Note also what our Lord stated at Luke 21:28:
“But as these things start to occur, raise yourselves erect and lift YOUR heads up, because YOUR deliverance is getting near.” (Emphasis mine.)
I hope that answers for you your original question such that you do not have to worry. Our Lord did say not to worry, didn't he?

Another 144,000 Question
by Cold Steel inokay, based on my reading, you're clearly better off being one of the 144,000. first, you get to reside in heaven, while everyone else is consigned to living on earth.
second, a spirit (in wts eschatology) is much better than being a flesh and bone human.
they can fly, read in a darkened room and they get to be with god for eternity.. but what of everyone else?

Cold Steel:
Okay, based on my reading, you're clearly better off being one of the 144,000.
And that, CS, is where the problem starts. The Revelation is a revelation. It is a revealing. And it is Jaheshua who “reveals” it to you, you-personally.
If you're a JW, what do you think? Would you choose to be one of the 144,000 if given the choice?
CS, you (we) don’t have “a choice” in whether we become part of the 144,000. The text plainly says where the 144,000 come from. Read it again: 12,000 from this tribe, 12,000 from that tribe, etc., etc., etc., from the nation of Israel. You do not have a choice as to what tribe you belong to—you are from a particularly tribe of Israel or you are not. It’s not a question of choice other than IF you are a member of one of those tribes, do you accept God’s provision for salvation? And, does God place you within that 12,000 group from that specific tribe of which you belong. Obviously the tribes numerical volume were/are larger than 12,000, but the 12,000 places are saved/reserved out of those twelve tribes. Are you among them is the question?
Are you a person from one of those twelve tribes? Which tribe? I suppose you could be, but ONLY if Jah places you in your respective 12,000 number from that tribe can you even be one of the 144,000.
If you are NOT an Israelite/Israeli from any one of those specific twelve tribes, you will never be one of the 144,000. However, you can be a member of the great crowd from among ANY of the nations of the earth (not Israel) who will rule as kings and priests.
